Poor Panthers

Panthers have a weaker squad than us and don't really have any back up of any sorts. Doing it tough now with the news Mansour, Naiqama and Ciraldo are out for a while. Like us though, will be forced to play youth which has it's advantages in the long run.

Yeah I think we're in just as much trouble as the Panthers, Raiders also. It's strange how the struggling teams always seem to cop the rotten luck with injuries, while the top teams generally go from strength to strength. I guess they have the resources to get the best strength trainers and conditioners.

Or maybe the reason they're a top team is that they have no injuries? Look at the dogs; injures -> spoon. Also, it means that the workload is spread easily once you have a couple of big injuries the workload falls to fewer shoulders and they crumble too eventually.

Yeah well it would certainly help having no, or minimal, injuries throughout the year. I would love to see WT have a season like that just for once. With the Dogs though, I think there is a bit more behind their woes than just injuries this year.

Penrith have had mass injury dramas since they won their premiership in 1991

The only season they didn't they proved what they can do in 2003

true, but without injuries they'd easily be in the 8 i reckon. Pritchard, Kasiano, Graham and barba for much of this season…

And without injuries we'd also be in the 8 right now having beaten the dragons and scored 2 or 3 more tries against manly to help our PD. And koro woulda chased down DCE in about 4.9 seconds.

I do find our injury report for the past 3-4 years to border on ridiculous. I can cop 1 or two bad years in a row and say it's unlucky but we seem to have done it every year for at least 2\. I think 10 and 11 may not have been too bad given we did well those years.

What it got me thinking was that Potter when he took over mentioned a bit of about his reliance on sport science in developing, monitoring players. Now my guess is that whilst he's probably doing it now. the strength and conditioning structures in place are probably different to anything Sheens had. I' pretty sure Potter mentioned he was looking to improve the club's use of these under himself. Now I don't know a great deal about sport science but is it possible that the players bodies are being put under a different form of pressure due to being trained in a different way???? Our bodies love routine and if a routine is broken, It's only natural you're going to feel a little different because of it.

Exactly, it just seems that we, Penrith, Parramatta, Sharks etc. are always the ones struggling with injuries. Maybe it's something to do with the Sydney air
