position u played ?

I think i played every imaginable position .. except 2 .. (half back and hooker)
Started as a 6'4" .. 85kgs winger .. moved to the centres, fullback, 5/8, lock, 2nd row, prop .. in my prime played lock in the QRL comp for Brisbane Brothers as 110kgs lock .. but ballooned out and played 2nd row at 118kgs .. lol (i think my diet then was Macca's) Loved to tackle, shoulder charge back in the good old days .. lol

Centre at rl.
Blindside at ru. Lock until i was 15 and stopped growing.
Played against a guy in college who would make a brake everytime he got the ball. Didn't know his name until i saw him play for the hurricanes and then the all blacks. Christian Cullen was pretty useful tbh.

Good stuff, U23 that's showing your age ha ha.
Pearce and Kenny. Did you play at different clubs against them?
Played with Junior and against Kenny. Kenny was a big bastard and faster than anyone but he also had all the skills. He'd come straight at you to draw you and pass just before he smashed you. If he shaped to pass early, you knew it was a dummy but you'd take it anyway just so you didn't get smashed. Always going to be a star.
Another star was Nathan Gibbs who's now doctor for I think Roosters. He was a Souths junior and a dead set gun, but his medical studies got in the way. Peter Tunks was in the same team and I punched on with him once. Terrible mistake.

Tunks was a tall bloke. Yep I remember gibbs, cheeky runner.
Are you talking about Brett Kenny, Burt was only 80 odd kilos

Brett Kenny was deceptively big. Under 20's he would have been 90kgs and about 6'1". He was such a good mover and so athletic he kind of looked like a smaller guy but trust me, big hard hitter.

I trust you mate, he was certainly solid. He was 181cm [5ft 11" - 84kg 13st 3lbs] a lot fitter than people think. I did meet him and looked down on him, I'm 6'5'' 🤣
I loved watching him play and most likely saw you locking horns with Tunks, that would have been worth the price for admission.
I opposed Maninga a couple of times and one time at half time, I told my coach his legs were solid to tackle but he didn't look it from the side lines.
Then have a look at him on the Kangaroo tour of England, his legs were like tree trunks. 🤣
