He scored a million tries for The Entrance. So he must be able to match it with the big guys now?

I can never remember seeing his name too often in the sports section up here (on the Central Coast) so I'm not sure he was tearing them apart. This is his second chance so he's got to make it happen.

He did make the Bundy Cup team of the year - but he is still a whippet in the Brett Howland mould and I cannot see his frame holding up in NSW Cup let alone NRL!

Did The Entrance have a Bundy Cup team last year?

Ah yeah its starting to come back to me now. I remember they did withdraw for a while and they were getting into trouble for playing the same players in Bundy Cup and then the CC Comp on Sunday. Woy Woy had a team in the Jim Beam Cup for a while, Erina and Wyong too I think. Basically all the CC teams with leagues clubs…

Willie Mataka has signed with roosters and has been training with the club since the Australia Day break.

The former Tigers back-rower will no doubt add some more starch to the already impressive forward pack.

Good luck to him then, the Roosters obviously came through with a better deal than Wests. He'll probably be more of a chance to play FG too.

Hopefully he can tap into some aggression as he has skill and power but was found lacking in the mongrel department once or twice

He never added any starch to ours!!! Or for BRET where he was relegated to the centres for alot of 2010!!

He should enjoy Henson Park though!

im hearing Wayne Bennett to the knights on a 3 year contract, and micheal ennis will follow him there.

will never happen, champ.
Souths are willing to pay big $$ for Wayne Bennet when the time comes, Newy could probs compete with their new billion doller backer, Tinkler - but this will never happen.

Where Wayne goes, Darius Boyd will follow.
No mention of Ennis anywhere, don't know who told you this info, but complete rubbish.

I thought that too. Like everyone else says "I have a source" but he has given me one tip before that was wrong so I'm a bit sceptical about this one. I live in Newcastle and a few people have said that Wayne was in Newcastle on the Monday (this week). But the tinker deal hasn't even been confirmed yet, although it's moat likely to happen, it hasn't been confirmed at the board level so I dunno how true this "tip" is. I guess we'll find out soon.

I also live in STEEL CITY but this is unlikely to ever happen.
As Watto said, back to QLD or off to Souths for W. Bennet.
I wouldn't put much more thought into this guy's tip, completely false.

Bennett will wait and see how Souths go. If they start the year well and look like a side that has potential to do something, he'll go. If not, he'll find another club that has talent AND cap space. Biggest myth ever.

The only two sides he's coached are ones filled with rep players and that have sustainability in all fields. He's a fine coach no doubt, but it's not as if he's ever had to build a struggling club ala Sheens. If Bennett went and found success with a team at it's lowest ebb and built it to be a force, that would be more impressive than winning a comp with a team full of stars.
