In special circumstance you can apply to the NRL for cap relief

really? well we should get it right…i mean 200k extra or so considering we've lost our entire back line bar a winger and some forwards too.

Smeg doesn't mean it is like some sort of Centrelink payment , what he means you can go over the cap with your own money if players are injured etc and not get fined

As someone else said , can we spare any dough ??

obviously it's not a handout, but i figured with these extra sponsorship deals we've got, we could afford to go 200 over? I dont know our exact financial situation, no one here does. But it's an option.

miller has to be there.. it's insane how everyone else gets a go in the halves without marshall but miller doesnt.. he has to be there

I heard on the radio that Brooks had spent the last week training with the first grade squad…..Miller is no more creative than Moltzen IMO

We don't need creative. We need a game manager. Someone to run the pigs around and structure the attacking shape. Last night we were bunched or standing in staggered levels with nobody bar Robbie instructing anything.

Due to our problems with injury I say

1\. Tedesco: Supporting the ball carriers and chiming in to create the extra man
6\. Sironen: Straighten the play and run
7\. Miller: Organise our structure, bark orders and take charge of our kicking
9\. Farah: The X factor and brilliance.

Get caklines set, play what is in front of you and get the pigs moving in multiple numbers instead of one out

Personally I'd rather see Brooks and Moses play as much of the season as possible together. Really it's going to come down to long-term vs short-term planning. If you're not going to play Miller in this situation we might as well release him now… I don't see much of an option out of Sironen/Miller but the whole team is going to be a bit bits and pieces so Potter may just give Brooks a game and see what happens.

Yoss the whole team shouldnt be bits and pieces at all. Simona and Koro should shore up the left side for the remainder of the year and im positive Potter will go with Reddy/Utsi on the right. The only issue is 7\. However i dont like that right side, too slow.

Has to be Miller, give him a real shot in this game to run the team which he never had playing foil to Benji. I don't think throwing Brooks into the deep end now will do him any good.

7\. Miller - Can't even dominate a reserve grade game.[/quote

Miller on one leg would be 100x better than moltzan at his best….

which is why moltzen has been dropped to reserve grade and miller lauded for his performance this year where he outplayed the forum's lovechild tedesco.

oh wait….

i wouldnt mind miller at 7, hes not bad just likely to get shut out and not creative enough. Brooks or miller doesnt trouble me too much, but id love to see how broooks handles NRL.

Hope Moltzen recovers from his latest injury but I also hope that he never plays for the Weststigers again. God he is useless!!!!

Right now, I for one am much more concerned about our future past 2013.
So that being said, keep Brooks in NYC. He still needs to mature and develop before he is thrust into FG. And realistically I can't see us winning Friday Night, obviously Potter is still looking at winning so he will go with the best option. Which I believe is Miller, he hasn't had a chance to play without Benji, he could really lead from the front in this game alongside Sirro. They know eachother's game, they've played NYC together so it couldn't hurt at all to go with this pairing.

ive changed my tune

throw brooks in the deep end and let him learn to swim.

if he's the long term solution blood him while we have this many injruries. he will only learn from his experience.

Who the hell is Brooks? Wake up and smell the bloody roses, we have not had a decent half since prince, spend the money on quality players that are under the age of thirty for Christ sake and we may have a shot at a title.

you'll know who Brooks is soon enough the kid is going to be a superstar.
that said I'm not sure that I'd play him at this stage id pick him, physically it would be a huge ask given his age coupled with the amount of football he has missed through injury already. no need to rush but given the opportunity he may just step up

brooks is a young kid with potential.
to make such claims like 'superstar' is a bit of a stretch.

Miller should get one last attempt, if he sucks, turf him and give brroks a go.

I dont think we have a choice, Miller has some FG experience. I'm actually surprised MP is faced by this situation. Unless Miller has burnt all bridges.

He could have a blinder and make MP look like a fool who didnt give him enough time in FG.
