I read this morning that Mick Potter has become the favorite for the caretaker role at the Dogs,also Dave Furner was mentioned.....tough times at the Dogs...
I think Potter could be ok,its just how much pressure the board put on him through Gould,,,

The dogs are in total disarray - Potter had no freedom to do things when he was here and now he will he have no freedom to do anything with Gus looking over his shoulder. There is also a rumour that both Mahoney and Kikau are trying to get out of their contracts there.

Hard to see what the plan is other than rebalancing the cap? Funny, Gus saying they’re doing fine and finally hit rock bottom, as if that was a goal.?

Potter had quite a puss team at the time firing well until player unrest took over.

Mismanaged Fotuaika with hindsight and wasn’t a great man manager by some accounts.

Football wise, discovered Marty and had the bench firing. Was bringing up brooks, Moses. Teddy was going well.

Anasta, Farah, Benji killed him.

In his current scenario of Gus being the man manager he would do well. I think he would have fired here too if we managed to keep sheens in the Head of football role he is in now. Which to be fair they tried to do, sheens didn’t buy in.

I'm actually pretty happy for Mick. He didn't deserve what he got here and would actually hope that he becomes their permanent coach.

I liken Mick to a Paul Green, more of a man manager, quiet demeanor and quite ethical in their approach.

Nothing too fancy about them, but they usually do an above average job.
