Potter Hints on 2MMM tonight that Benji may be dropped

Mick Potter when interviewed on 2MMM after the match tonight hinted that Benji may be dropped for next Saturday and Brooks would get a run.

I did not hear the interview but my information is that he was asked by 2MMM about whether Benji would not be selected next week and whether there was a possibility of Brooks being selected against he Dragons. Potter's reply was something along the line " may be, we will be looking at it." Unfortunately, as I said, I did not hear the interview but I trust my source of information.

Brooks will get a run next week due to the fact the game has no bearing on the eight, the NRL has given Brooks the green light.

I heard it. Sterlo said that it was code for Brooks getting a gig next week. It seemed pretty obvious, and when asked about Benji's performance, it changed to "i prefer to talk about the team, not individuals".

Clearly Potter remembers his mum telling him that when he has nothing good to say, say nothing at all. Still, anything less than Brooks/Sironen is an own goal by Potter.

I don't know, Potter seemed to be priming Sirro for the backrow, and we have Blake Austin coming onboard. I wouldn't be surprised to see an Austin/Brooks pairing first up.
