Can't agree with Potter's comments in regards to defensive lapses and young players

Lawrence has been in grade since 2006

Too true. And Potter has never dropped him.

Listen to this and think of Miller.

Contradictions galore.

Im convinced now he's history.

Disappointing.

He's now been on the outer with
2 consecutive FG coaches. That is not simply bad luck.

I'd like to see the kid given another go, but so far nothing I've seen from him indicates that he is capable of dishing up much better than what we have already seen.

Is it the coaches or the players that he gets on the outer with?

The tigers are probably the biggest 'old boys' club in the nrl, if your not in the 'in' group it's hard to get a look in

I think what he's alluding to is Sue rushing out of the line allowing Hodges the easiest of chances to score from dummyhalf, without actually acknowledging Lawrence is our worst defender.

I don't know what's going on but I had high hopes for Miller especially with him as half for the whole preseason.

To be honest though, I wasn't impressed in any of the 4 games he played. Even though he trained all preseason he looked out of place.

Having said that it appears some of the senior guys lost confidence in him. That would kill any young guys career.

I'm happy to go with the opinion of two first grade coaches on Miller. It is the same opinion I posted in the off season.

As for Sironen, I couldn't disagree more with those who are bagging him. The guy wasn't even right to start the season so he has given the rest a huge start. He showed enough in his couple of appearances last year for me to think he is the goods. Expect a bold showing this week; or maybe next week!

I hardy think 4 or so games with each coach is much of a fair go….maybe Im too generous....or patient, Sirro shows little either, is destined for the forwards yet hes OK to move our million dollar star 5/8 out of position.

Sheens all over again

Welcome to Wests Tigers halfback Lotto, tonights numbers are 7-7-7-7-7-7, with supps 7&7

Couldn't agree more. Four first grade games at halfback behind a lightweight pack, learning new combinations, which were being altered from week to week, as the team became decimated by injuries, was not nearly enough time for Miller to show Potter what he is capable of - and I reckon he actually played quite well in 2 of those games!

Both Sirro and Tedesco have been nothing to write home about in their few first grade matches this year either, yet it appears they are being given much more grace than Miller. Miller has somehow managed to alienate himself to 2 totally different NRL coaches in successive years. Clearly his demotion has more to do with off field issues than on field talent.

This is why he is in NSW cup. Can't afford to learn in FG & Sirro is a better defender

There is a reason Sheens only gave him one game last year and why others get more grace…Can you guess what that might be ?
Sirro and Tedesco have something Miller doesn't. Even Spence no world beater has what Miller doesn't have.

Firstly the Roosters picked up on Miller's attitude then Sheens and after a golden opportunity with Potter he seems to have stuffed that up as well.

I agree, it shouldn't take more than a handful of matches to show what you are capable of. It doesn't mean you produce gold every week straight up, but look at blokes like Buchanan and Sue, making us take note with their opportunities and making the coach pick them.

The only thing special I can recall Miller doing is his solo try this year. That's one moment out of 9 or so games, it's just not enough, especially when you want to be the halfback.

Sirro on the other hand, not a long term 5/8th, but has the build and strength at a tender age. You can already see he is a handful to pull down, often poking through tackles. Given some more development time he can be a really powerful and mobile weapon on the fringes, with some ball skills on him to boot.

Korobeite and Woods have shown it in the previous years, you know talent when you see it.

I WANT Miller to be our halfback solution, but I don't see it.
