Potter without Farah??

Im still not sold on Brooks. His 5th tackle options are pedestrian most of the time to say the least. It comes down to what he does individually more often than needed.

He has had enough games to take off the L plates. Its about time he stepped up and became a P plater.

Completely disagree with you. Brooks was one of our best today. He cant do everything himself.

Brooks is the future of the Wests Tigers, the Blues and maybe even the Kangaroos. Any team in the NRL would take him in a heartbeat and anyone with half a footballing brain can see he's a superstar.

Sheeesh.

He is dealing up nothing in terms of a 5th tackle option. Is that what a half back of Kangaroo standard delivers.

You can dream all you want, in the mean time, I want better.

This is crazy talk. Seriously. What did some of you expect in 2014? The majority of the NRL expected us to challenge for the wooden spoon. Whilst i believe that was never going to be the case, it does paint a fair reflection of what we could do in 2014\. It was fair to suggest we're making up the numbers. To have us battling for the top 8 despite injuries is a great credit to the side and coach Potter.

Luani was only playing hooker because Halatau had played so little football. To throw him right in would've been unfair on him. Yes Halatau and Austin have looked better than Luani but to Luani's credit he's defended very well in the middle.

For those having a go Brooks today, that's all wrong. Brooks was the only guy who looked like makings things happen. He wasn't perfect but he'll learn from today. He'll take the good with the bad.

an under strength tigers played a full strength panthers side who are winning the comp… is it really the time to be judging potter's ability?

when potter replaced farah with iosefa, it was partially to show farah who boss was... and at the time he needed it... look how far farah has come since then...

iosefa was rocks and diamonds, it wasn't such a bad move to utilise him at the time...

potter has done some great things for us and blooded young players when he had to.. we are a team of the future, realistically we aren't going to win the comp this year (as much as id like us to).

I haven't watched the game yet , but listened to the insipid ABC Grandstand blokes

Lawrence sounded bad

But the issue is this if you'd dropped Lawrence and Lulia we would of had 4 debutants against one of the top sides in the comp

Bit much to ask don't you think ??

No.

All those people referring to the Bulldogs win on Friday as an example of outstanding coaching - short memories!!!

Sure they had a good match. But what about Hasler's brilliance when Doggies went down 22-12 to Parra (including 78th min consolation) before Origin II, or were belted 32-12 by Roosters before Origin I.

Of course Potter struggles to get results without Farah, he's comfortably our best player. Tedesco also being injured, you see how far Manly goes without Stewart and Ballin, or Storm without Smith and Slater, Roosters without Friend and RTS (they might go ok actually), Parra without Peats and Hayne (already tested)…

We need to face facts we don't have a quality centre full stop and from what I've seen apart from Milone ( and he has heaps of work before he is even close to NRL standard ) we have no one coming through for at least two seasons

And we've bought no one and their is little left on the shelf of NRL standard

Moltzen may be our only other option and he is probably at least 5 weeks away from NRL allowing for 3 weeks in NSW Cup

Which of the two NSW Cup centres do you want to mark Idris to start with ??

Thompson & Fine for me , they couldn't go any worse than Lawrence & lulia .

im not defending him but just saying that he's done a lot in the 15 months by getting rid of the dead wood, cleaning the club's image of being soft, instilling good attitude amongst the players and bringing in juniors like noffa, simona, brooks, teddy etc.

in saying that, his next contract should be about what he can do for the team in the next 2 years rather than what he achieved previously. he is not showing us much atm that would indicate that he is the right man to take us where we deserve to be with the juniors at hand.

I'm not having a go here, but we need to put this into perspective and I think you have to a degree. Also, agree next contract should be 2 years and go from there.

He's coaching a side full of rookies and has us in with a sniff of making the eight after a massive injury toll and missing Farah mid-season. It seems the downward trend coincided with Farahs injury and origin.

We need to look at the season as a whole. Let's at least give Potter the remaining nine games with Farah and Woods back before making any judgment.

On a side note, if Farah coming back turns us around, I would hope the club has a sustainable back up plan for when he retires. We don't want to be in a situation where Farah retires and the team is rudderless. Hopefully he's got 3 years at least in him yet.

I find what people are saying on Potter to be absolutely ridiculous.

This man has done an amazing job so far- forget last year as we have said before.
He has had 17 rounds - without Farah and Woods in 3 of them; without Teddy for what about 8; Sironen for 13-14 etc. Halatau for most of the rounds, Fulton for 4 or 5 - Not bad being 6th up to last weekend.

What do people not understand about a rebuilding year?????

We have a team of youngsters who are mostly good one week and not so good the next - hence the saying "Rocks and Diamonds" but hey! - we have the great idea of replacing a couple of older heads with a few more youngsters who have never played NRL.

You are joking!!!!

Why not drop all the NRL team and bring up the NYC.

I read such crap from people on here it beggers belief.

It is the same old Potter haters, Anasta haters, Lawrence haters - (OH! they were Blair haters last year) - they can't see the forest for trees.

We have what we have for this year - I am sure they are in the market for another centre for next year if one is available - if not Potter will build up Fine etc. for next year.

We do not need more inexperience - Blind Freddie can see that.

Why can't you see that hobbo2803, Irvine, thesquid and others?
