I think this was our best win under Potter….

The Tigers put in an 80 min performance in searing heat...

I feel good for Potter he deserves to have the "heat" off him after last week...Lets hope we back it up next week against the Rabbits...

3 cheers for Potter and Kidwell.!

Absolutely it's amazing when you play direct and we have forwards on the field that can make meters and bend the line.

Yeh cant criticise Potter this week. The side played well.

But unless we back up and be competitive against the bunnies it means nothing.

As i recall we smashed Parra around this time last year.

Agreed. I feel that's more the performance that Potter is hoping we put in. Tough work done with some polish by the back 7.

Potter can coach, but with a young squad and half a dozen players still developing, there will be a few ups and downs. The side definitely learnt from last week and played very committed football today. The big question mark will be how we back up from today's heat with a 5 day turnaround against a massive Souths pack coming off a loss.

We won't win next week. Not because we are worse than Souffs, but to back up in 5 days after playing in near 40 degrees is tough.

This is Potter's team, and it's barely recognisable from almost anything Sheens put together. Agree with all other sentiments that it was an impressive performance and the test will be in the follow up for the next few week, but it really does show what we're capable of. Titans weren't anywhere near good, but it's still the responsibility of a good, well-drilled team to run in the points and that's exactly what we did.

potter has been a work in progress and it take time for the team to get out of the bad habits developed under sheens.

i think our best is still to come.

Well done Mick. Today the team was relaxed, happy and confident. Stick to this formula. A test of your coaching skill will be how you keep your side fresh and up for Friday's match.

I thought we gained some respect today.

Normally guys like Taylor bird and Myles would run all over us. Our line speed, impact of hits and hard running made them give us respect.

We didn't let them offload at will.

this was pleasing to watch
would be nice to see a repeat of this in the match with rabbitoh's on fri night. 😛ray:

I feel good for Potter as well.

I really loved the passion Taupau showed when he scored his try and then celebrated it with the team.

It appeared a very happy and committed team.

We have a good side in the making and juniors like Teddy, Noro, Sue, etc worth holding on too.

I agree about Tapau's celebration. Bloody good to see someone show how much the team's performance means to them.

As for the reference to the Parra game last year, the two aren't similar in any way other than the fact we got 2 points. That was a night game at Leichardt won mostly off Parramatta's mistakes more than anything we put together - the complete opposite to today

I don't expect them to win on Friday but if they can be more than competitive that will bode well for the rest of the season.

I think Payten and Kidwell must've made a huge impact behind the scenes to in helping identify and correct errors and flaws from last week also. Something that guys like Royce never filled you with confidence in doing…

The coaching is a team thing after all. The older guys also appeared to have recognized their mistakes last week and corrected them.

I criticised Potter for his use of the bench last week - not bringing Ava and Sue on til the last 20\. Today, all four bench players were out there before the half hour mark. In conditions like that, rotation is critical. Last week we fell off half way through the game and were lazy. Today we looked damaging the whole way.

The pleasing aspect of todays win is that the players obviously want to learn and put in place what Potter is teaching them…in other words he has the dressing room!...I hope this continues for the rest of this year.

Well done Mick …. Would have been disappointed had we lost to them after the way they played last Monday night and again today. Nothing like a win to give a team confidence .... I'm not sold on Souths .... I think we can give them a fright with a repeat performance.
