I’m really type of guy who appreciates seeing some of these guys succeed rather than ready made products costing zillions.

Remember seeing likes of young Tommy Raudonikis, Joe Cool, Terry Lamb and Les Boyd in the lower grades and just knowing!

when ever i see any player in public, im always bit sheepish about going up and talking to em, especially if they r with family, seems a bit rude to me

Mate I sat one over from one of the NRL refs on a plane from Gold Coast to Sydney. I was dear A he was C. No one in B. I wanted to hassle him all trip. I wanted to take him through, step by step, everything refs were doing wrong. I wanted his ear for the whole trip.

But I left him alone! ?

The players have been pretty quiet this offseason. The odd interview here and there but no "hardest preseason we've ever had" quotes coming up.
Hopefully a good sign of the headspace Madge has got them in.

I think it can only help his mobility he just gets caught out behind the play the ball to often

I don't think we'll see much of him, I'm a bit surprised people are expecting good things from him.

Apart from the signings saga (or media driven/perceived sage??!!), this off-season has been very different - we've openly extended contacts to players who want to be here, lost a marshmallow man, re-jigged our support training staff, ran the broom through the lower grades, and (amazingly, so much anti-Cleary style) - we have a salary cap balance that we haven't wasted on over-the-hill players.

This is a different off-season, for sure!
