Raiders always a hard game for us though.

I just watched a replay of last weeks game and it wasn't as bad as I thought. Could have been 14-12 at half time with Seyfarth and Pole just inches short. The kids were just gassed late and made some errors. They also had all the ball and a great pair of halves where our 7 couldn't have been any worse.
Round one, I think AJ will definitely be one centre, maybe Tupou outside him on the wing. Seyfarth looked much improved, Pole was good in the middle. A couple of the young forwards showed some promise.
If AD is ready to go, I hope he's playing the same side as AJ. Two massive bodies, hard to stop. Gotta be some points there.

If we can hang on to the ball during the 80 minutes long enough for each player to make 200 passes, assuming we don't drop the ball then we will starve the opposition of possession and won't need to do any defending.

Not the best indication,but last week against the Warriors he looked pretty good taking a scoot.
He’s only 21 ,been thrown in the deep end ,but also looked too good for NSW cup

Best part of his game hands down, he is really good at attacking markers when they are not square or moving backwards. I agree with everyone else, his passing from DH is a big problem, but also far too young to put a line though him...

It’s pretty rare for 9s to be guns at NRL level early on.
Reed Mahoney and Harry Grant are the only two I can think of in recent memory.

And Harry was 22-23 when he debuted. He'd done his time. Mahoney was 21 I think when he became Eels first choice hooker.

Simpkin is going fine, just been thrown in the deep end due to lack of depth. He needs to fix his passing game but his running game is very good. A 3 year apprenticeship with Api is probably just what he needs.

Definitely,we threw him in as a 19 year old kid who hadn’t even played NSW cup and he actually did pretty well (that souths game where Reynolds kicked the 2 point field goal)
As you said,3 years under Api will go a long way.Seemed to work well for Mitch Kenny

I think if O’Brien wants to keep his job, he puts Ponga back to 1, Hastings 6 and Miller 7.
Moses made Ponga look pedestrian at defending in the line. I’d give it no more than 4 or 5 games?

No way Miller is moved to 7 bro...
Rugby convert, hasn't played a day
in his life in the halves. I see them
dropping Hastings for Gamble at
some stage, it will all blow up in
O'Brians face sooner rather than
later any which way. Dom Young
will probably sign elsewhere too.
Knights are in for a rough year as
well as Hook's dragons for sure
