We don’t want to be getting absolutely pumped today…. If we do it will be a good indication that we’ll be getting pumped during the season. BUT I suppose we should prepare ourselves for that anyway

My gut says we will get pumped today but we are still 5 + starters short and they’ll make a big difference. I’m off to leichardt on March 5 via Brisbane nonetheless with a contingent and my young son who watched us get pumped by the raiders last round 22

would have liked to see our spine combine for atleast 30-40 mins before round 1

Our spine looks okay-ish full strength but one or two long term injuries to our 1,6,7 or 9 and we are in deep crap. I don’t reckon our depth is anywhere near 1st grade standard
 
Better showing so far but still room for improvement.
Is it just me or would AD be better at fullback and Laurie in the halves.
Looks like Kenny lasted one tackle but no mention in the commentary of why he was replaced by Tamou ?

Lots of positives but not getting overexcited …. round 1 starts in 2 weeks.

Most players had good games but I was pleased with what I saw from 2022 injury brigade returnees Blore, Big D, Talau as well as the new signings In Klemmer, Stains and Papi. Junior is a star in making and Naden is the first centre picked.

Surprised with good games from AJ, Simpkin, Simpkins, Wakeman, James and Smith. Rest were solid,

Still have bit of quality to come in Brooks, API and Batman.

Raiders were poor. Titans will be a good test for us in round one. Can’t rely on this performance alone …. it’s only a trial.
But I’m happy.

It’s the abc of full back play, always try to be moving into the ball and take it on the full.

Now the other interesting tidbit from the weekend is that the Storm have all had the same haircut, except the fullback who has a half. I liked it but I’m old 🤣🤣🤣🤣
