TEAM LIST Preseason Challenge Week 1 v Canterbury

Team List
Just a trial, but I'm confident.

Most interested in seeing TimJ, Sione & Skelton
I try and be as positive as possible as often as I can...it wasnt a dream but visions of Marshall at last years pressers came back to me last night and the hopelessness that exuded from the club and we all felt

I couldnt shake it

I dunno it'll take a lot to convince me weve turned a left corner twice

Yep, they have worn me down too. This is the first time I have zero excitement for the season ahead. Each year I try to tell myself to not have any expectations but I always cave and end up having a lot of hope. This year it hasn't happened. I simply have very little desire to watch any rugby league at the moment.

If tonight we can show some defensive cohesion and effort, then maybe I'll warm to it.

The whole "Pre season comp" is a joke and imo designed to get suckers like me to sign up to Kayo early

That said I enjoyed last night games Dolphins were just all over the Cowboys, bigger faster stronger, ran harder, tackled even harder, kick chase excellent defensive attitude all over the cowboys...impressive performance...they had more hunger desire and will.
Good example of why we have trials

Parra not bad either very mobile and lots of ball movement,, and those saying theyll be forwards dominated because all their coaches are forwards might be surprised
I was only thinking something similar yesterday. Fox Sports doing all they could on their coverage yesterday to talk up how big this Mickey Mouse competition is and that the clubs are really committed, taking it seriously (Tell that to the Storm). I think they are just playing on the fact it’s mid February and people are footy starved.

Skelton looked strong. Those other two will have to bide their time and take their chances when they come.
I think the smoky 2RF we are trying to develop from within is 20yr old Lachlan Broederlow.
Big enough, mobile and enthusiastic. I was impressed with his non stop effort.

Bit disappointed in Johannssen Tuck if he is first grade standard you would expect him to stand out in that company, plus body shape looks a bit light for the middle to produce impact.

Definitely was impressive but has too many defensive frailties in his game atm especially laterally, contributed to 2 tries to the Dogs. Much fitter than what I saw in NSW Cup last season where his defence & fitness was exposed. He'll only improve.
