Prince and Wallace on the market

No thanks to either of them. Prince is past it and Wallace is just not very good.

x 2
Prince never put his body on the line when he played for us, he was a protected species with players around him doing the work. Even with Benji and his shoulder issues he tackled more than prince.

Wallace is PAR at the best. Will never win a game like the greats could or some modern day halves can, Like carney atm

Wallace is servicable and on a short term deal he could be a good pickup. Stop gap solution only though.

If Wallace is picked up, Anasta should not be in the squad and Moses should be close to getting good runs and game time.

One only has to look at the starting halves next season would I sign Wallace sure thing.

Gotta agree. I think there is too much pressure going onto Brooks to step up next year. I hope he can but how many other players have killed in NYC only to faulted first year up. I rate Wallace as a tough uncompromising intelligent half. He may be on the wrong side of his career and as such we should not pay overs but I really couldn't think of a better mentor (of those seemingly available) for Sirro, Brooks, Moses et al for next year. Personally I am not sure Anasta is a good 1/2's mentor.

I think we should look to prince for one season to play 5/8 and bring brooks along I know we have Anasta but I feel prince could be a better mentor and the story goes he might retire because the broncos aren't going to offer a new contract,
I know he left for family reasons but surely one more crack down in Sydney could be beneficial for all parties.

Bugger Prince- he is a dog. Left WT in the lurch bigtime when he took off at the last minute and gave us no option to pick up anyone to replace him for the next season. He can rot IMO.
Wallace would be a handy bloke to bring in for 1 or 2 seasons to at least let Brooks ease into the main playmaker role, the pressure on that kid to excel and dominate is going to be enormous and unfair.

Last minute? Prince announced he was leaving in early 2006 after we threw more money at him than the Titans did. In the end it wasn't about money for him, his Mrs wasn't happy in Sydney and wanted to go back to Qld. Sheens solution was John Morris.

I thought he left WT basically in the off-season of 06/07\. My memory ain't a strong point though, IIRC people on here were up in arms about him leaving us without much notice?
