Dudes,

Word on the street is that Proton Cars will be the Sydney Roosters Main sponsor in 2010.

Thanks Noycey.

They get dropped by Samsung after their off field issues, now word is Proton are gonna walk out of us and be their jersey sponsor.

Gives us more reason to try and smash them so the head honcho's at Proton can see they have made a mistake.

Maybe Uncle Nick has promised to give their gear a prime position in his many car lots

Tough choice - us or the roosters. Let's see:

- Position on ladder
- Off-field scandals
- Crowd numbers
- Entertaining style of gameplay

Who would you pick?

Do they still have a close partnership with City Ford?

Well their chairman owns that company. But he has car dealerships of all types all over the world.

Looks like for some crazy reason they are gonna pick the Roosters. Could have been sold the old _"We have made the semi's 7 times in the last ten years, they have made the semi's once_" story.

Simple solution:

They are a bigger name brand than Proton and are definately more well known.

They may also be willing to pay more for sponsorship at a club that does not have the off field issues of others.

For sure. We are clean cut. Roosters have that Eastern Suburbs party/bad boy stigma.

Samsung and the Wests Tigers would be great partners. Both are family orientated.

I am sure the new CEO will whip in shape the Marketing team and a better sponser will come on board next season if this true.
Meriton would be great or some other big name. I hope to god that we do not go back to getting ordinary sponsers like the first few years ( like that dodgy finance company).

DON - _is don is goood_ -is the only mob Ive known of thats sponsored us, everyone else thats com on board Ive said, "Who are they…what they do"?

Looks great, you should send it off to Samsung

I would not be suprised if he uses his contacts in the aviation industry to become a sponsor.

So you had never heard of meriton or proton

I thought Proton were scaling back their operations in Australia. I read a few weeks back that the Financial Crisis had hit them very hard. Suprising to read that they are now going to sponsor the Roosters.

Its not official mate. It 'the word on the street'. I also noticed a story on it this morning in Rugby League Week.
