Qld Fires

Happy, Only found out today , about the Fires around the Gladstone and Bundaberg regions,
Hope they’re all out as soon as possible and without any tradgedies.

I was up at Gladstone about a week and a half ago with my Sons job , and there was burning off along a huge amount of the highway,
Sounds like it would be a lot worse if not for the backburning earlier.
Hope it sorts itself quickly mate and doesn’t get any worse

Conditions eased today because winds had dropped off , but about 40 houses have been burnt out at Agnes Waters and they evacuated Miriam Vale which is about 60 km's south

The heat on Sunday was unbearable , about 37 and 70% humidity

Brother in Law has a gated place at Agnes and it was under threat and also a cattle property near Bororen on the Highway

Could of been far worse , we had about 4 inches of rain with the storms and that about the last two weeks

Hopefully we will be alright , we are about 600 metres from any serious scrub and the winds will hopefully turn SE Wednesday /Thursday

Ruhls Beach and Baffle Creek are beautiful places , looks like they will cop it today

Some of the best beach fishing you will find anywhere at Ruhls

Year, good luck with it,
We were only on a one night trip left here about 5am , Mon and knocked over a couple of jobs Mon afternoon , and night , then did an early Tues morning one done and were back here About I pm on Tuesday.
I was only there for the ride and an extra driver if the young bloke felt tired

They needed the help Ink and we all appreciate the help , poor old firies were out cutting another van load of backpackers out who forgot which side of the road they were suppose to be on

2 hours cutting them out and the poor buggers they collided with at 100km/h Sunday arvo

Yeah, weve had more than a months worth of rain dumped on Sydney this morning - the citys not coping, roads flooded, airport closed, rail stations flooded….and a few thousand kliks north theyre predicting the worst bushfires in the states history, and people refuse to leave when advised to....your lifes worth much more than your home

Possibly why house insurance should be made mandatory with every sale

Conditions aren't good today , this morning was overcast no wind , cool , already 34 and 30 k winds

Have a few people I know at Baffle , they are out

schools are closing for the day as well
