Quickest way to Leichhardt from City

Last time we had a Monday night game at Leichhardt I caught a bus from Town Hall, and it took an hour and a half due to traffic.

Does anyone know if the light rail from Central runs to Leichhardt Oval (or near abouts)??

Hybrid, the lightrail goes to Lillyfield. Then there is about a 15-20 minute walk.

It runs to Lillyfield mate. on city west link which is down the hill and east from the ground.

Thanks guys, probably much quicker opting for light rail then I assume?

Traffic via bus was horrendous last time.

You get any bus that goes over anzac bridge then down Victoria Rd you can be at Rozelle in 15mins, depending on traffic, could take 10 mins if it's good. This is from Town Hall too. More likely 15-20mins though.

I got the light rail, thanks all. Much more reliable than Sydney traffic, that's for sure.

We went from west up to BLC and every freeking time I forget to turn left before the bridge pub to avoid the 3 second right turn green arrow where 45876 cars are waiting to turn…..zipped over to the left lane, left into Darling, chucked a ueey and then sat there for five sets of green lights while no one moved, chucked another uueey and parked around the corner in Nelson st to walk it, all because some moron decided to side swipe another moron down in balmain rd so theres two cars with minimal scratches on them and 15 [This word has been automatically removed]in towies all in the middle of the Rd. holding up everyone that wants to get to the footy.

There's a bus from Central Station/Railway Square (I think the 440) that stops at the top of Mary St. It's only a few minutes walk from there to Leichhardt Oval. If there isn't much traffic it could only take about 25 minutes but it can take 90 minutes if the traffic is very busy.
