…..If Poor Judge can run like its last run, it should go well in the last.
Good luck everyone!

Thanks NJLM78 - your tip on Poor Judge (that's an omen for someone like me!) eased my disappointment at the rest of the donkeys I put my hard-earned on!! $1e/w got me $19.10.

The pressure is on you now for as profitable a tip in the Melbourne Cup!!

Tigergran

Your Welcome. Poor Judge got me out of trouble too. I like Harris Tweed in the cup. Can't rule out the two Z's to do something - Zipping and Zavite.

OK NJLM78 - I am putting my trust in you!! And just in case, I put my usual on Shocking - he did ok for me last year (and is wearing the right colours).

Good luck everyone!!

Tigergran

I'm on Descarado but I've got a terrible record in this race although maybe that means I'm due! Got on at $14 last night so happy about that.

Goes alright in the wet, you may be lucky.

got a pineapple on zipping. Not convinced syt will last the distance.

not to mention he is in a race today with 23 other horses so he might not get the great run hes had in other races.the swoopers down the outside seem tobe winning also so i dont think that bodes well for syt.havingsaid that he is a no doubt champion over 2000m and over 3200m we will find out at about 3.05pm.my top four is maluckyday, precedence, manighar and so you think.

late news bauer has been ruled out whilst the jockey for precedence, Blake Shinn, fell in an earlier race and will be replaced by James Wilk

Bummer! Who's James Wilk? Is he a good jockey?

So, if I remember correctly, this is the biggest bludge day in the office all year!

Not much of a gambler, sometimes I'll put something on Wests Tigers, but that's about it!

Today I have Manighar, Harris Tweed, Descarado, Zipping and So You Think.

So, go them! Now back to the champagne! (any excuse!) :wahoo:

Looks like he stays all day too. Hopefully he'll get a quiet race on the fence and keep finding in the straight.

Bazzinator, I have no idea how flexi trifectas work, but did you win big with that lot?

i also put a silent 20 on americain before the jump so got that up

for the trifecta it works by picking horses and if they come in the top 3 you win a percentage depending on how much u bet.

so all in all i win about 320 so thats a good day if you ask me

Yep, top day - well done!

Won over $600.00 on the Melbourne Cup today. I got the First Four(2.77%), Flexi Trifecta(8.33%), Quinella(X3 the dividend) and $10 Win & Place on the first three horses. Collected $602.70\. I spent $130.00.

Not a bad days work.

Got around 3% of the F4 and 12% of the Trifecta, also have 5 each way on So You Think, Americain and Maluckyday among others. Turned $125 into $340, good day all round.

Sounds like everyone won today… well done. Im pretty happy too

With all your winnings, dont forget your Club in 2011!!!

Sorry Tigergran. Harris Tweed tried hard and Zipping finished off well but I couldn't get you anything back with those tips! :unamused: I will try hard to find something for Saturday.

Hi NJLM - you are forgiven - but I look forward to Saturday's tips!!

I actually put a couple of dollars on three of your tips (Harris Tweed, Zipping and Zavite), a couple of dollars on my tip (Shocking) - and then had $2e/w on Americain (thanks Watto) so finished up a couple of dollars in front.

I'll be here Saturday morning ready to bet.

Good luck to everyone having a bet on Saturday. I like:

Flemington Race 6 Emirates Stakes - Chasm and Luen Yat Forever.

Flemington Race 7 - Zantelagh

Flemington Race 8 Queens Cup and the two British trained Horses Drunken Sailor and Eastern Aria might be able to to something. Both unluck to not get a start in the Melbourne Cup and will want to take something home with them. Some good horses in this race.
