I will do my best Tigergran. Caulfield Cup on Saturday so I will need to do some careful research this week!
 
Thousand Guineas on today (Wednesday 14th Oct) peoples.
Anybody like anything to beat Irish Lights?

I've got an inkling about Melito - even though the experts say Sister Madly is the better Sydney horse.

Caulfield Cup this weekend is now as open as ever with the withdrawls of Speed Gifted and Maldivian - hope you can find a winner cause you'll get good odds for any horse I think.
 
Ok people, the big races are here. Ive never backed the Caulfield Cup winner, so here's hoping i break my duck. (i have backed 6 Melbourne Cup winners and the last 2 Cox Plate winners though, just to give myself a rap lol).

With the Cup so open, i refuse to back anything under $10, so im going with Viewed. It was a good run last start and i think the outside barrier will help it, (hopefully). My only concern is that its had 4 starts at Caufield for zero placings.

Other tips:

Melb race 5 number 11, Snipers Bullet

Melb race 9 number 4, First Command…......but if its a slow track i wouldnt risk the short price.

A few roughies, hopefully one will get up:

Syd race 8 number 4, Mr Hornblower $26
Bris race 4 number 6, Yield Curve, $26
Bris race 6 number 8, Michelle Cafea, $31

I remember Viewed winning the last Melbourne Cup - I backed him because he was wearing black/gold colours!! My $2 (on the nose - unlike me not to go e/w) got me about $104!! :smiley:

So - I will go with that tomorrow!!

Viewed has a massive chance at good odds tomorrow. Hopefully the wet weather down there hasn't taken too much out of the track as it should be a good day of racing there tomorrow.

Here is where my hard earned will be tomorrow.

Caufield Race 1 Number 4 Azwa
Caulfield Race 7 Number 14 Crossthestart

Morphettville Race 7 Number 1 Zyzxx
Sydney Race 7 Number 3 Love Conquers All

Caulfield Cup - I will be taking the Roman Emporer and Red Ruler Quinella. Can't decide which I like more at this stage so that has probably doomed the chances for both of them and paved the way for Viewed to finish over the top of them at the end.

Good luck to everyone having a bet tomorrow.

PS - King Sirro - Mr Hornblower at $26 looks great value!

Had the 7 and 17 duet so not complaining. Was cheering Roman Emporer home but Viewed is just all class. A good race.
 
woohoo. So happy to have my first Caulfield Cup winner. But the one i really want is my 3rd consecutive Cox Plate winner with Vision and Power. Please rain all week in melbourne, please please please.

I tell u what, i wish i had a lazy $5 on the Cups double with Veiwed, he finished very strongly and was pulling away from the others.
 
Best race in the World 2morro guys.

Im sticking with my old fave in Vision and Power. I would love for some rain over night, but even if it doesnt, i still think he can run well. He finished just as strong as Whobegotyou last start and was only beaten because Bowman got him settled behind Whobe. So even though i got it at $41, the $18 its at now is still great value. A better and more aggressive ride should see Vision and Power fight out the finish.

In syd i like Buttido. Race 4 number 4.

Im supposed to be at the races 2morro, but its up in the air cos the missus is crook, hopefully she'll be sweet and ill have a big day.

Love the Plate as well and great odds each way earlier in the week for Zipping...loves The Valley and shorten heaps today.

Hence people I follow King Sirros tips , since my moneys not on it

I went with Black Piranha because I have won money on that before. And with King Sirro's positive thoughts on V and P - how could he not go well.

And as for the tips at Kembla - certainly worth a $1.

Well Vision and Power did go terrible. Ill have to see the replay but it appeared as though he was pulled out of the race with injury.

What a shattering day. I was at the races and between Syd, Melb, and Bris had 6 seconds. Oh well, thats racing.
