Raiders Side

1\. Josh Dugan (Top player. Reminds me of a larger Gallant. He can hurt us)
2\. Daniel Vidot (can find the line. I remember watching him score 4 tries in a junior QLD match. Good Player and they may use his height and bomb to his wing)
3\. Jarrod Croker (Doin that famous name proud. The centre battlr in this game will be a pearler)
4\. Joel Monaghan (Not the best of seasons for Joel but hey, he played for NSW this year)
5\. Phil Graham (No nonsense speedster)
6\. Terry Campese (Needs to be smashed early or we are goooone)
7\. Marc Herbert (Needs to be rushed)
8\. Dane Tilse (Big, strong and tough. Needs to be baited. Not the sharpest tool in the shed)
9\. Glen Buttriss (Classy player)
10\. Troy Thompson (Goes ok)
11\. Glen Turner (Alright type of player)
12\. Bronson Harrison (Needs to be legally belted, pressured and hit hard)
13\. Alan Tongue © ((Run at him all day)

Interchange:
14\. Joel Thompson (Ok player)
15\. Nigel Plum (In the mould of Tongue)
16\. Josh Miller (Impact player, needs to be smashed)
17\. Trevor Thurling (See above)
18\. Joe Picker (See above)

In a nutshell, we need to be extremely physical and hard in the opening stages to try and get on top of this monster pack.

play up and in the face of their playmakers.
hit them hard each time they have the ball.
and for goodness sake don't let them score in first minute. :unamused: :smiling_imp:

Big news coming out of the Raiders camp. 104.7FM (triple M in Canberra I believe) reports that Campese, Monaghan and Joel Thompson are all down with the flu and have been quarantined from the rest of the squad and are out of Sunday's match.

It's conflicting however, someone on the Raiders forum said that WIN TV in Canberra reports that they could play on the weekend, but they are definitely down with the flu at the moment. If it's swine flu they will be out for sure, if not, well I guess they will play.

Damn - that would be insane. Lets hope it's true!

They also said on the Footy Show about the Flu going through the Raiders team. They didn't go in to specifics though.

Buttriss classy? Am I the only one who thinks he's crap?

Butts is a very good player mate. He's no Farah, but he's quality.

Actually played mostly lock/second row coming through the grades. Also a bit of 5/8 and hooker.

**Late Mail.**

Following players stuck down with flu this week and all unable to train yesterday

1\. Josh Dugan
4\. Joel Monaghan
6\. Terry Campese
14\. Joel Thompson .

IMO,Reason for the Wests Tigers to be extra careful and come out hard and make sure they score first and keep on going.

Canberra players Josh Dugan, Joel Monaghan, Terry Campese and Joel Thompson are all battling the flu leading into Sunday's game against Wests Tigers at Canberra Stadium. They all missed training yesterday and with today being a day off they will be checked tomorrow. Officials are optimistic they will all play.

SMH have the same mail…...Looks promising...

TBH I would prefer if it were all forwards with the illness. In my experience it is a real struggle for bigger guys to keep their fatigue levels managed when recovering from a flu like ilness

True, but Campese and Monaghan are pretty big backs around the 100kg mark. Hopefully they struggle to recover in time.

Just hope the team doesnt take any notice of this garbage, flu schmu…they'll all play

Hoepfully our players don't catch the flu from the raiders. That's the last thing we need. If Dugan is out that could hurt my fanatsy team. I already left Gidley out because he might not play this weekend…

Looks like this 'being out with the flu' tripe is just that… all the people called up as back ups flew out to Brisbane today to play in the QLD Cup.

Joel Monaghan is going to be the biggest anoying player on the field cross field kicks to him etc just stop him
