Random conversation thread

So I thought it would be a good idea to create a thread where we can just discuss anything. Instead of the usual format of a thread where we discuss a certain topic, how about we have one that ebbs and flows like a regular conversation with someone that naturally progresses to the next topic.

You'd think i'd have a grand topic to start us off with, but nup, got nothing.

How about plans for new yrs?

I hate maccas food but keep eating it at least twice a month….convenience factor

And its cheaper to eat unhealthy then it is to eat healthy.
 
I have just spent five weeks in the 80's - banking wise.

I lost my keycard at the end of Oct (phone call during the transaction and hands full of shopping contributed to the loss of card)
I reported the loss on Oct 28…I only just recieved my new card today. Three attempts over the phone to obtain a new card were futile with St George call centre staff....they make WTs membership dept look like Harvard grads or members of mensa. All because of the rare occasion a keycard was found by a passerby and reporte4d to the bank (thank you kind stranger)...it was ''hotlisted'' which is code for ''too hard basket'' for st George bank staff.

Five weeks of having to walk into a bank and line up in a queue makes me realise how much simpler (oh the irony) things are today - to an extent
What shouldve taken 5 -7 working days took 5 weeks
Phone will be ignored next time it rings when Im at the atm
 
Sydney got another lightning show tonight.
It seems Sydney is getting very tropical weather ,storms every evening I think that's three in a row now.
The weather pattern is certainly changing if it's global warming or not that's debatable

At least you know what to do if the electronic system ever goes down Ink. I reckon most people under the age of 30-35 would be rooted having grown up largely with virtually electronic currency dispensation and transactions.

Yeah my elderly memory still recalls the days of passbooks and filling out withdrawal/deposit slips….Friday arvos were great at banks

Yeah guessing they thought they could be better utilized elsewhere since that section of the M4 rarely moves at more than 40kph.
 
Having our work Xmas party on Saturday after our shift finishes. Afterwards a few of us are going dancing. Woohoo :slight_smile:

Yep. They certainly weren't going to catch too many . Speaking of the M4, it drives me insane that the right lane stops when traffic is merging on the left!!! Actually i just can't work out why a rd with no traffic lights stops at all!!!!
