Rankin Released...Official..

Lame ass Tigers - Rankin, Edwards, Ballin, Hunt, Lovett, Naiqama, Lawrence, Chee Kam, Grant. Anyone else you guys can think of? I'm surely forgetting some guys

Chee Kam is young and a decent footballer he is far from lame

He may be a cheap backup signing but i really hope we are never going that bad or that desperate that he would need to be called upon.

I think at $125 000 a year he is worth it. NRL experience and depth player - remember that squads are going to be 30 players with minimum wage set at $80,000\. $80,000 would be your rookies so $125, 000 is the next tier up - a back up depth player with some experience. (I would be surprised if it was $250,000 a season)

Ok got some more goss on this.

In my OP I mentioned Jordan is signing on for 250k a season but was corrected to him being sought after for 125 a season.

This got me thinking how I got this wrong.

I found out the truth is in between.

Jordans asked for 250k a year and Tigers management have counter offered him the minimum 125\. Negotiations have been dragging on.

Jordans decided to test the market and see what is out there at the moment, so he has not in fact re-signed, hes declined the offer and seeing whats out there.

Hopefully both sides here will see some sense and they will agree on maybe a 200k in between.
Standby.

There is no chance Rankin has asked for 250k knowing he isn't in the top 17.

Good luck Jordan,.
Now if I was a sarcastic type of person, I would say " Flemington Markets, near Homebush maybe a good option."

Hey!

That's our current First grade 5/8 you are bagging out right now….

Dunno, 250k is cheap for a 5/8.... considering we are apparently paying 400-500k for a reggies one from the warriors....

whats wrong with chee kam? He goes hard every week and has skill. He will only get better.

Like a lot of them .
An average reserve grader. If he was a first grader, he'd be playing there

I'm reckon that the story is made up.
Also Jordan Rankin will play with far more effort and gusto at 5/8 than the one who has just left. :brick:

has rankin actually played in the halves for the tigers, I can remember wing, fullback and hooker, but has he played in the halves (which is what his meant to be).

I don't believe so.. I've always been interested to see him in the halves too tbh. Apparently it is his preferred position.

But Rankin is completely and utterly hopeless in every single way. I would be very surprised if we won a game with him at starting 5/8.
