There is almost no way of convincing me this legitimately is the side that will take the field. Madden must be a starter if he is in the 17, either Brooks or Moses to drop out; that just for a start.

That seems logical but is Madge thinking logically?

Looks like the coach has finally conceded that there is no chance of making the finals. Mix it up, shuffle players into different positions, blood a new half, and see if they can salvage a platform for next year.

Fair enough to mix it up but my selections would be based around youth and the future. Mbye is not the future AD, Stef, Simpkin are.

Yes, he does not play those games. It will be 1-17.

I read posts where people praised him for "finally dropping Roberts for Cini"...but that was entirely injury forced / had to even get NRL permission.

Madge does not mix up his 1-17.

Punting Cini completely (even off the extended bench) was undeserving. He lacked skill and experience, not effort.

I hope AD and Mbye change position, Brooks and Madden swap positions and Stefano is back on the bench. Simpkin needs to be in the 17 as well.

What the hell did Stefano do wrong to be dropped? He's been excellent this year

Why the hell would you swap Mbye and Doueihi?

Brooks will be hooked if he don’t step up . That’s why he’s chosen Madden and that’s why he’s temporarily put Doueihi back into the centre’s.
If Brooks somehow performs a miracle there’s no need to play Madden at all .
Just means Liddle will have to go for 80

Problem is swapping halfbacks mid game is really silly. Halfbacks need to slowly get their way into a game and figure out what the opposition is doing in defence and all that, throwing a new one out there just disrupts your attack completely I reckon.

Stuff this what a ridiculous and uninspired team selected by Madge, I can't even imagine a world where a MBYE and AD swap makes sense. I'm going all in on Newcastle head to head, line, 13+margin, half/full and under 43.5, and it breaks my heart to do so, thanks Madge.

The more I look at this side the more things I don’t get. Surely this is just a squad list with changes to come.
Madden to start - doesn’t make sense on the bench
Doueihi has been going well why move him
Mbye is 14 or nothing for mine
Stefano should be in the 17
I’d have kept Cini show the kid some confidence and he could bounce right back

Not saying I agree with the positional changes or names dropped/promoted however there really is no please half the fans on this forum.

We play poorly you cry for change and preach bring in some NSW Cup players. Coach does exactly that and you cry for blood. As @Cultured_Bogan said "Insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result". With the season all but gone already there's no harm done mixing things up a bit.
