If there isn’t last minute changes then it’s like madge is driving the bus straight into a telegraph pole. How Brooks continues to survive is so bewildering. How seyfarth, twal and Tamou can be in the same team is bewildering. Twal has become Aaron woods 2.0. He takes a hit up every set , hardly makes any metres and takes forever to get up and play the ball. Dropping Stefano!!!!!! Really , how!!!! No Amone!!!!! If there aren’t some changes before the team runs out and we get towelled then this could be the last game madge coaches us.

Twal averages the most running meters in our team and has a tackle efficiency of over 90%.. he’s by far one of our best forwards. Every team needs a workhorse and he’s ours. Very happy with him, can he improve of course.. but doesn’t deserve to be criticised at all.

How many of us think that Mbye will come off after the initial softening period to be replaced by Jock Madden at 6.

Madge is actively planning / blooding the players of the future now

Well, the future is looking grim. Madden is ordinary. At best.

Get used to it most of the junior halves look ordinary until they play at least 30 NRL games in ordinary sides. Play anyone at the Tigers at halfback and they will battle.

Luke Brooks has played more than 150 games and he's yet to even reach a level that could be perceived as ordinary

I thought he was in the Blues train on squad at one stage because he was playing consistently good footy and was the club’s best player in 2018 & 2019?

This team has really progressed, in years past they usually take my love of football away in July or August or both, never done it this early in the season. Bravo fellas, bravo, I will probably watch the news or American Pickers or anything else, ironically there is even a show on at that time called Tanked.

Precisely.
Twal is as solid as it gets.

Always works hard and isn't afraid of it.

American Pickers is so bad, I can't stand those dorks. Lol.
Surely you can do better!

Consistently tops the metres for the team. Sure he's not flashy but if we had another 3 like him who don't miss tackles and made 110+ metres a game we would be going a lot better.

His footwork has improved immensely too. It's not his fault he gets the footy on 4th tackle, halves need to organise something, it's not like there's a play to be run and he stuffs it, there's just nothing on so he does his job.

Great post.

I've never saw any Woods-esque, run backwards into the tackle and flop from him.

He looks hard as rock and surely is 1 of the fittest at the club.

Side note, Woods and Heinington use to frustrate me so much with the back stepping and shimmy and submit runs.
Been enjoying Stefano & Mikaele from the bench.

Seen it once before, can't argue with on that one champ, I'll try Tanked.

He’s basically Matt Eisenhuth.

Twal is a bit one dimensional, which is why I think he was a waste at lock. You know what you will get from him though, and that is high tackle rate and efficiency and a solid amount of work on the ball. The difference between his best and worst is very small.

I think personally Stefano has been quite good and Mikaele seems to be slowly getting back into the groove again as well, who knows if that is just contract year performance though.

I think he’s just plateaued. Probably won’t get any better, won’t be an origin player. Just an honest toiler. Great tackle efficiency.

Useless fact. He is still to bag a try in 75 games.

Does my head in tho we are incapable of getting a forward that can crack a 200 meters game. People talk about Stefano a lot but he can’t even crack 100 meters

Twal is still relatively young, As are Stefano, Blore, Musg, Garner, Tom Mikele, Joffa and Luch. All are 25 or under.

That's the bones of a really good forward pack

Mix in Daine Laurie, AD, Simpkin, Simpkins, Madden...

There is a future that is brighter than where we are today

Haha damn you're probably right! I actually put a big bet on us to win this game, but with us good news is bad news, so now I'm concerned.
