Is it just me or does it feel like the ref's these days have an unconscious bias towards a team that on paper should win or are NRL darlings at the time

It could have, it was a terrible decision . Cows were resilient all game, something we could only ever dream of
I don't think so. I think refs generally make dozens of poor calls a game. I wouldn't necessarily say they even out but they certainly go both ways.
The good teams show resilience and get on with it. The ones that 'should' lose typically can't defend mistakes (their own or the refs) and hence do end up losing. So people point to the poor decisions and say that's why they lost ignoring the poor decisions that went in their favour.

You're making too much sense greg, unfortunately for us the truth hurts. At the start of the season a lot of ref decisions went our way for wins.
Gough ignores the shot clock at the scrum...not that i have a clue what thats about
