Wasn't the knock on in the same play as the try?Not the bunker, ref and short side touchie. Bunker can only over rule indiscretions within the play that the try was scored or foul play.

No. The play starts after the play the ball.Wasn't the knock on in the same play as the try?
Latrell was number 3 tonight, didn’t help them 😎souths without latrell are just making up the numbers, they will struggle to make 8
Doesn't the play start when the previous tackle is complete as the players elbow touches the ground? No. The play starts after the play the ball.
No. After the play ball. The same point that the defence is allowed to move off the line if that helps.Doesn't the play start when the previous tackle is complete as the players elbow touches the ground?
Same as when they call 6 again for ruck infringement then the ball is dropped. It's a lost ball because it's the next play.No. After the play ball. The same point that the defence is allowed to move off the line if that helps.
Nine were saying the bunker can rule on the ruck/play the ball.....but I have seen what youre saying....there is 'dead time' so to speak between tackle complete and the ball clearing the ruck, I remember some years back a player stepping on the touchline once during this "dead time" and the ref allowed play on.No. After the play ball. Do you ref?Same as when they call 6 again for ruck infringement then the ball is dropped. It's a lost ball because it's the next play.
But 6 again for offside and the ball drop becomes a penalty because it's the same play.
Only kids games and rarely do that anymore. Can no longer commit weekly as I work weekendsDo you ref?
Definitely allowed to step out after the tackle is complete, in the act of playing the ball for example a foot on the sideline would be play on. The dummy half however could not.Nine were saying the bunker can rule on the ruck/play the ball.....but I have seen what youre saying....there is 'dead time' so to speak between tackle complete and the ball clearing the ruck, I remember some years back a player stepping on the touchline once during this "dead time" and the ref allowed play on.
All that said...the ref saw it and apparently called it out in play...again according to nine comms
