Very enjoyable to watch a game without the crap Penrith have been going on with recently... Happy to see the better team win

Agree Ink,but gee the last 15 mins seemed like a toss of the coin who would end up with the 2 points...
great game of footy...both sides deserve accolades for that performance...

Really enjoyed that game.

Broncos played well and penrith never panicked

But Penrith were very relieved they scored that last try
They were crapping themselves and could have lost that game against last year's wooden spooners
You could see how releived they were when cleary scored
Could you imagine if the Broncos won
It would have been absolute gold
At least we know Panthers are beatable

Love TPJ 's game tonight

How athletic is he for a big guy.

Their forward pack were real good tonight. Lodge and Haas great go forward. Best game I've seen TPJ play for a while.

Idk about that. They’re going to have off weeks. They are head and shoulders above the rest imo.

Broncs have been getting better last few weeks. Starting to reach their potential as a group and not just as a lot of good young individual players. Staggs will add to their attack and by the mid to end of the season they will be winning consistently if they keep this effort up. Spine needs some time together but is helped immensely by a pack that is going forward so strongly.
Panthers weren’t expecting that level of intensity and were a bit lucky that Broncs blew a few good chances and opportunities. In the end they had the class to outlast the Broncs.
Watching that makes me realise even more so how off the pace we currently are.

Brisbane played well though... Nothing like last year's wooden spponers

Why are we so far off the pace? I wrote previously, I don't mind if we lose but I want to see fight, that we play a good brand of footy, that collectively and individually we are improving and our defence is rock solid. I don't see it and this concerns me greatly.

Broncos proved they are beatable. Cleary kicked Penrith to victory but until the last 5 mins the Broncos forwards ensured both Luai and Cleary were not playing on the front foot off quick play the balls. I stand by comments from last week. Take them on through the middle and bash their forwards. Brisbane won that battle, it was their spine that didn't have the composure to get the result.

Two things from last night.

Penrith NEVER let the kicker chase the ball, they always hold onto or ground them even if the ball has well gone. I really despise this tactic as it means the man in the best position to chase gets taken out of the play - they should be getting penalised but the refs seem to ignore it if it's not high.

The reverse is the same for Clearly, he never gets touched because they set up well on tackles 4 & 5, he plays deep and gets protection against runners.

As tigerssj eluded to, Tigers haven’t yet developed into a team imo also.

Well picked. Have thought the same about neutralising the kicker. Should be a penalty every time. How does he chase his own or run others onside. Its a disgraceful blight on the game in my opinion.

Tackles 4-5 is when they run their quick play the balls so they are on the front foot. Unfortunately we dont have any of them.

That 2 point field goal from chin got me thinkin...i reckon AD could easily knock 1 down from 40 out

He has a bloody massive boot

50-2 Saturday night

I imagine whoever laid The Broncos at 950/1 for $10 to lose $9500 is feeling a tad nervous this morning. Based on last night they could go on a run.

Credit to the Broncos as they came out firing and their whole team gave a huge effort physically and emotionally for the full 80, probably for the first time since 2019 to be honest. They didn’t look like wooden spooners but more like Top 8 possibles.
