Re: Season Expectations? What's yours!

I'm hopin we can improve on the last couple of seasons.
After going last night I can see us resorting to going from side to side without going forward first if things dont initially go our way.
I think a lot of people have possibly unrealistic expectations, its a long long season, we'll have our ups and downs…there are a lot of other good teams out there and just watching games on TV recently reminded me of what an influence those fools in pink can have on a game.
Rd 18 is where it all starts...as long as we're in the 8 at that stage I'll be happy

If we get an injury free run I think top 4 should be achieveable

Once we are there hopefully the experiences of the past two semi final campaigns (and the pain of two heartbreaking losses ) will drive us that we can at least make the GF

Once there with the quality of players we have we will be unstoppable no matter who we play (Cowboys or Melbourne imo)

Personally I'll take anywhere in the top 8\. Top 4 looks great but don't think it did us any real favours last year so as long as we are playing finals footy, I'm a happy camper.

If injuries are somewhat kind (to us they never are) I think Top 4 is a must considering we achieved it last year with an injury crisis and internal dramas. Squad has better depth and is maturing. If we don't win a comp in 2012 or 13 well be waiting a long time.

Agreed. I think if we stay injury free we should make the top four, but I have a feeling there is too much expectation.

Just look at the Roosters Foundation Cup thread, people saying we would smash them by 40\. Our team on paper means nothing. The competition is close and very even.

If we can keep our core group of players on the paddock then we have the ability to win the whole thing. Anything less would be disappointing. Premiership windows aren't open for long so you need to take advantage when they do.

All I want to see is consistency. The lack there of is why I will never but a membership from the club. While I'm happy going to semi final football I can't forget some of the diobolical perfotmances they always seem to put in throughout the season. I'm not paying $$ for a membership then having to go even though they are playing like busted a's because I have tickets.
I want to see Wests play with the consistency of Melbourne. Until then I will pay if they play.

What do you guys think?

Thats a bit harsh, i get your point but if i lived in Sydney id go see my tigers every other week.
I'm an out of towner member and go to what games i can but it's hard.

Especially when we keep dodging the broncos at suncorp :brick:

I think you're a finals footy bandwaggoner fan. If you support a team, you should support them all the time, win, lose or draw, not just when they're winning!!!! They will never be like Melbourne, thank god! :sign:

I'll renew my membership every year because the most important time when a club needs the support of it's members is when the tough times hit. Also the good times are so much sweeter because you stuck solid through the rough times.

My mind says Top 4 regular season, but in all honestly the Premiership in 2012.

We have been building for ages and its time to reap some of the rewards.

No pressure boys…

Ps - Welcome to newbies Tigerboy and Big Al

Top 4 finish, and provided the team is healthy at the end of the season I see no reason why the Tigers cannot win the comp. There's enough strikepower in the team, there's enough size, enough skill, enough pace and defensively I believe they will be stronger than last year.

Grand Final this year ??.I thought so in 2011,but we didn't.The side looks the same except for a few,so what happens I'll just take each game as it happens and if we get to the GF I'll be in Sydney town for it in my Tigers gear…...
