I think he's a superstar in the making, but i think its a bit early to be calling for rookie of the year before he's even played a game. Its a long season and i'd expect him to have a few ups and downs

We will see but my prediction stands

I agree. He definitely has the potential to push for rookie of the year if he can hold the No. 1 jersey.

Agree100% GNR,
He is a superstar in the making, and as you also said he will have those grey patches of form, maybe not in his first year, but they will come.
The one thing we have to do as supporters is exactly that, support him when he needs it.
Remember he is only a kid.
We are all ecxcited by what we are see in Tedesco and as you know we're a weird mod on this Forum, will be interesting to see who turns on him after one or two ordinary displays.

there is actually a good bunch of rookies coming thru this year.
Hurrell, Tau Tau Moga, Reynolds will all press for the Rookie of the year.

I think he will be there round 1 and the number 1\. He we have a few bumps. But u remember in '05 we had the smallest fullback in the comp. teddy just needs to be able to bounce back after the big hit like hodgeson.

He's a great athlete and looks to have a fair bit of attacking flair in his game. Lets just remember what happened to barba last year… was on fire going forward and got lynched for his defence and aerial ability.

Lets get behind the kid if sheens backs him and hopefully laugh about it at the end of the season!

He is taller and heavier than Hodgo at his age. Not sure why there are been so many comparisons

Yeah I know, he'll get bigger yet too. I imagine his eventual playing weight could end up around the 96kg mark given he's only 19\. Would expect him to add another few kilos of muscle over the next 2-3 years.

I doubt you will be underwhelmed.

i hope i won't,but would be very easy considering the hype.
it's like he has played 50 games and everyone has seen him under pressure against top level talent.
there is zero talk of weaknesses, like he is superman.

i'm always wary of talk of youngsters when only positives are talked about.

Does he play in the line as per Hodgo in attack? Hodgo used to run one side of the attack often allowing Benji to run wider etc.

He will make mistakes and have poor games but that is part and parcel of being thrown into FG so early. Nobody has said he is superman. He made two early fumbles against the Eels at Gosford but recovered from nerves to play a good game.

The hype is there for a reason. He has all the natural attributes of a fullback unlike others we have played there recently. I've only seen him in the two trials so far but it is hard not to be impressed given his age and inexperience.

I saw support play, I saw him talking and instructing his teammates when the side was defending. I saw him take three bombs with ease (including one that was VERY difficult and another which he scored from). I saw him make a one on one tackle as the last man.

James biggest test will be after he has played every club at least once

Clubs will formulate different ways or potential weaknesses and he will have to cope with that

That will be when we see whether he is the real deal or a pretender

But at this moment in time he has proven he is the best fullback at the club at this stage and he worked his tail off in the pre season Deserves his chance in round 1to cement the fullback position

Rookie of the year!!! Iam amazed how people come up with these things. maybe if you said that after round 14 it might mean something but to say it before a ball has been kicked off in 2012 is a bit crazy. Lets face it, he may not even get the gig for a while, or the team may under perform and effect his chances,or they may be another young kid from another club that plays the place down or heaven forbid he may get injured.

Their is no doubt he is the best prospect at no1 we have had in years but lets go easy on the hype and give the kid a better chance of success.
