Rebrand time?

Another sad end to a season.

I think we are kidding ourselves with the current model and it’s time to go way left field. Half our team is Samoan so it’s an easy rebrand, let’s be the NRL team to represent the Pacific Islands - Pacific West Tigers.

Before you can it, think about the relationships we could form with governments in the Pacific Islands and the opportunities in sponsorship and recruitment. Obviously post COVID.

We are already a homeless club so why not own it and play offshore for half the year and split the other games between Leichhardt and Campbelltown?

It’s an area that is untapped and worth exploring, if you ask me it beats being the SCG/Parramatta/Tamworth/Inner West/south west nomad no winners.

I’ll take feedback good and bad.

Nah to relocating/rebranding.
Yes to being involved in setting up a pathway with the Pacific Islands that would see young players get an opportunity through the Wests Tigers.

The team will definitely be better next year. Still pretty average but better. No need for a rebrand.

Come back when we miss out on JAC and sign Foran

Think playing six games a year in the region and Having players doing the schools/hospitals etc would be required to make it work.

A presence in the region would inspire young kids from the region to play for the Pacific NRL team, if we were in schools, visiting sick kids etc we would own the region.

It’s a better vision than borrowing BankWest every six weeks

It really isn't

The Pacific Islands are East of Australia, so not sure how we get wests out of it

Australia is on the Western edge of the Pacific?

And three weeks ago I walked past a giant Roosters logo on the way out of a home game *face palm*

I think this would be great for long suffering WT fans, a good reason to break ties and finally enjoy success following a different team, maybe even a different sport.

We have to consolidate our current brand, not throw everything out the window and start again.

1 home ground and non-changing jerseys each season is a start.

There are plenty of pacific islanders living in Sydney! Why do we need to relocate the whole team!
