Without wanting to offend anyone, especially the old Magpies die-hards, I think the only rebrand needed is the removal of the small Magpies and Balmain logo from the jerseys. People can still rock their old Victa or Philips jerseys at the grounds, but it's been 20 years, time to fully move forward.
Also, as has been said many times, one ground is needed, and this is not Parra's stadium.

Nothing wrong with the old logos, I like them being on the back colar like they are now.

Thanks for being gentle with your reply. I know my statement has the potential to cause fire/angst - it's definitely wasn't a Balmain vs Wests thing - purely a "let's embrace the future, may it be bright" statement.

Yeah, I have no problem with your comment mate, I think we can embrace our future while respecting our past, The Sydney Swans still have South Melbourne Football Club on the back collar of their jerseys.
The only logo that matters is the Tiger. The problem is the Magpie minority can’t let go. It’s Marketing 101.

Rubbish, I love both the old logos being on the back of the collar.

Dumb.

We have one of the best logo’s/brands in the NRL. We have one of the largest supporter groups, COE over the horizon, one of the few clubs making a profit etc etc.

This is for a team missing the finals year after year for nearly a decade.

If we can start producing better results on the field, and start making the finals regularly, we will be a powerhouse club.

I don’t think too many other clubs would have survived with the mediocre results we have lumped up over such a long period.

No doubt I will come back, I'm here whether I like it or not. The question with thinking like that is, will you?

Well not knocking your suggestion however it would not work. Think we need to think of our CEO 1st proof yo any rebranding.
Besides we have a 10 year anniversary to celebrate next season.

That’s what we thought last year

Not me, personally. Never bought into all the hype on here about AD, still don't see anything good about Walters, Talau is really young and I didn't really know what to think about Grant. I did think BJ would be better than he has been and I did expect our forward pack to improve somewhat to offset the loss of Matterson.

And that has made it another disappointing year. No clear direction on who our halves are or their role, our forwards don't seem to get involved enough and guys like Mbye are played completely out of position. If it's the same next year, it won't just be disappointing it will be unacceptable and I would expect a significant head to roll in admin. Ivan really did a number on his 'mate' Pascoe.

I think the urgent thing the club needs to do brand wise is pick a SINGLE home ground and stick to it. I hate bankwest as our home ground, (its parras). Its either SW Sydney or Inner West Sydney.

Agree 100%. I think we should play all home games at Leichhardt until concord CoE is built. Yes even if it means a slight drop in revenue.

Why until the COE is built?

How would removing the magpie make us better or worse?

It doesn't. For some reason some think it does. It's a bit of printed fabric, not a poorly aligned spoiler.

As I said, there is nothing wrong with respecting your past while looking forward to the future.

Isn’t that where WT plan to have their home ground?

I’ll follow the black and golds wherever they go, from Balmain, to Campbelltown, to Timbuktu. Have for 33 years. Got damn sick of being sad in July though, change is sometimes a necessary evil.

Change can be good, your idea isn't though.
