Rebrand time?

Change is not always the only option.
I do agree with others however, that we should throw out the garbage.
If they haven’t already done it, it’s time to review the WT brand, dive into the raison d’etre and identify the substance of who or what WT represents. Throw out the garbage, and put some real drive behind the good things about WT. If we did this with feeling then many of our problems would eventually become a distant memory.

How many NRL teams regularly sit below WT on the end of year ladder? Do you think that their fans talk about moving and/or rebranding at seasons end? The media started this theme some years ago. Forget it. Load of XYZ as far as I'm concerned
Perhaps it's time for people who think we need to change our location or brand to change their brand of choice. I've heard the Roosters need some fans.

So the argument regularly on here is that Wests Ashfield don't want games at Campbelltown because its too far from the club - but you are assuming they will accept playing games in Samoa.

Oh what it would feel like to be a Roosters fan on Mondays. ✌

I think the urgent thing the club needs to do brand wise is pick a SINGLE home ground and stick to it. I hate bankwest as our home ground, (its parras). Its either SW Sydney or Inner West Sydney.

Well personally, I don't think it would feel all that great. If I had a 'win at all costs' mentality then maybe I'd enjoy it, but when the playing field is tipped in their favour (by whatever questionable means) I think I would see any victory as hollow.

Exactly this.

This forum does come up with some absolute dribble from time to time. This would have to be at the top of the list. In line for the top award of worst idea ever.

Without wanting to offend anyone, especially the old Magpies die-hards, I think the only rebrand needed is the removal of the small Magpies and Balmain logo from the jerseys. People can still rock their old Victa or Philips jerseys at the grounds, but it's been 20 years, time to fully move forward.
Also, as has been said many times, one ground is needed, and this is not Parra's stadium.

Nothing wrong with the old logos, I like them being on the back colar like they are now.

Thanks for being gentle with your reply. I know my statement has the potential to cause fire/angst - it's definitely wasn't a Balmain vs Wests thing - purely a "let's embrace the future, may it be bright" statement.

Yeah, I have no problem with your comment mate, I think we can embrace our future while respecting our past, The Sydney Swans still have South Melbourne Football Club on the back collar of their jerseys.

I needed a good laugh - thanks.

The pacific Islands have less money than us (that's saying something), that is why Australia and New Zealand a propping them up.

I'm all for a shake up of the organization but the West Pacific Island Tigers may be a step too far. Maybe start with a cleanup of the roster before shipping the team offshore.
