I applaud Potter and the recruitment staff for these great signings, Taupau, Gavet, Richards and Austin. Good work.
 
For a massive Polynesian player GAVET has awesome endurance he chases and commits to everything . normally I would expect short explosive work but he does all the extras when u watch him closely .

Potts signed him very early in 2013 but James was injured in the NSW Cup before he had a crack at the NRL, could possibly be one of those 'blessings in disguises' injuries!.
 
having a look at our squad there is at least 5 1st grade players that we cannot fit into this side , if all goes well this yr there will be a massive clearance sale of players . we have to fit HALATAU PATTERSON SIRONEN KORO LULIA SUE BUCHANNEN moltzen Murdoch masilla . Great headache for potter enjoy

No he was signed at the end of 2012 and picked up an injury in the offseason. Dont recall if it was Sheens or Potter but definitely end of '12.

The jury is out on Patterson , but the fifth best prop from the Bulldogs and fringe first grader has been an excellent signing

I think Gavet was a Sheens signing on a one year contract. Potter liked what he saw and wanted him for another year despite the injury.

gavet was signed by sheens

potter signed richards (tick), patterson (half a tick.. need to see more of him), lulia (massive cross imo coz we really preferred lulia over reddy- i wouldn't have), taupau (massive tick-er) and austin (so far so good)

no complains yet.. next year's coach needs to be sorted out asap if we wanna retain these players or go into the market for depth/experience
 
as for re-signings

farah for 4
woods for 4?
brooks/moses for 4
took simona out of a contract with a superleague team and gave him a 2 years contract
fulton for 3/4? a year too much iirc

also got rid of benji (debatable), miller (debatable), petty (good), aysh (good), tuqiri (good) and reddy (bad imo)

i'd give recruitment a 90% success rate overall so far.. true test will be teddy this year; blair, galloway and simona next year

even a bigger test will be picking the coach for next year and the timing of the signing.
 
Can't complain so far.

All have been great and also have given us depth as well all know we are injury cursed.

I think David Kidwell has been the best buy so far.

Gotta love a winning culture
 
Gavet was signed by Potter in Dec 2012\. That was his first player signing for the club
