Awesome game by tigers but referees need to be shot. How much money did they get for there abysmal display tonight ? I Believe that betting needs to be eradicated from our game because I was disgusted by the refereeing tonite ! How many times can they piggy back the other team up the field and how do they stuff up so many easy calls ( try / knock on)? Money….. That's what it comes down to... Pissed off our game is going down the drain!!!!!!!!!

Again we lack quality referees across the board Too many referees are influenced by home crowds

Funny how they missed the chicken wing on Ayshford in the second half , but puts Blair on report for twisting his leg up (when it was actually Farah)
 
I get the impression that referees view Wests Tigers as an undisciplined team and having that perception of them causes them to be on the wrong end of the penalty count more often then not.
 
What about pettybourne's disallowed try? How on earth did they rule that BMM interfered with a defender? And melbournes first try?? The last bit of visible footage from every angle showed moltz's foot under the ball!! There's a 12 pt turn-around right there!!

We had issues with our left side defence but if a couple of dodgey ref calls go our way & suddenly anything can happen

Actually have no issue with Vave 's try If that same call went against us after the referee called try I would of spewed

Agreed. That was definately a case of benefit of the doubt and its why the rule was brought in.

How much money.Mmmm about $1.15 for every $1 that they there relatives or there mate bet on the game. Not bad 15% tax free profit!!! :brick:

Benefit of the doubt has been removed from the game this year.

What happened was Robinson calling it a Try when he sent it upstairs, because the vid ref couldn't conclusively rule it hadn't been held up, they went with Robinsons call. If Robinson had said no try before sending it upstairs we would have seen it denied.

Funny now it was "twisting & pulling" of the leg when on camera there's no twist or pull, just a rotation.

Cunno hit the nail on the head… Melbourne are the 'Stars' of the competition and they get the benifit of receiving the 50/50 calls.

While we had cement in our legs in the last 15 minutes, and Melbourne would've most likely still got us, we got some very poor calls at crucial moments which could of easily been the difference from a win or loss.

I saw the same thing in the Eels-Sharks game... Cronulla received all the 50/50 calls which had me thinking they (rferees) were cheats!
 
Never taken much of penalty counts in recent years… Until last night. Disgusting.

Had to have a chuckle at the end of the game. The home fans booed the referees off the park quite enthusiastically. The men in pink had just given the men in purple the benefit of a 14-7 penalty count. What more do they want?
 
Referees were shocking, penalty count was 14-7 and here are some stupid rulings that would of allowed us to win.

Pettybourne Try was a Try
Storm Try before halftime clearly no evidence shown that it was scored.

This makes the score 20-18 and the game would of been in anyones hands, had Anasta got the kick we would of had a draw or something close.
 
The one thing that will be interesting will be the SOO series

Will we see 21 penalties in a SOO game , probably not

It was obviously a ploy by the Tigers to try and stretch the ruck rules in their own red zone to the limit and when you do that away from home you run the risk of being penalized off the park
