There is a serious lack of intelligence in nrl headquarters which shows up most significantly in the referees department. Awarding penalties for slowing down play is playing into the coaches hands by further slowing down play, should be sin binned for a second offence.

The refs should be made to attend a post match press conference or at the very least the refs boss and Teflon Todd should sit down on a Monday for a press conference.

There is no consistency, to much meddling by Todd and the rules have been eroded by this mentality that refs should have discretion to allow the game to flow. Wrong.

The rules are the rules. The biggest mistake the NRL made this year was to back down on their tuff stance had they stuck to it the teams would have got the message coming into the finals.

You can blame slothfield (news ltd gutter press) for that, he was ripping into it from game 1.

And don’t forget Cronulla benefit from a faster game - but I’m sure that didn’t enter his mind :brick:

Yep I was waiting for a sin bin but it never came. Think he let a few go for us as well. I was watching it live from behind the posts so hard to judge some of the calls. Interested to hear what you think after watching the replay.
