Reports of fresh talks news to Farah

"hey, i said we've started discussions, didn't say with who though"

This doesen't in anyway mean they have nessecarily met with Robbie as yet - it perhaps means that they are putting toghether an offer to take to Robbie, discussing our position internally as far as salary cap and who to let go, looking at deal lengths we would be willing to offer,etc.

But I can fully understand where people are coming from.

Sam just read this quickly, the discussion many just be the clubs board to discuss what they are going to offer and do .
 
Wow….we are all really clutching at straws now, its simply some sort of stupid frenzy. Analysing every word and utterence for total accuracy. WHO CARES!

IMO if either Humphreys (the board) or Farahs camp wanted to discuss details now, they would be unprofessional idiots and I dont think either party are stupid....

"Ummmm Robbie we want to talk to you about extending your contract"
"Sure, whos the coach?"
"Ummmm we'll get back to you"

What do you guys expect? People here were wondering why it took Humphreys & the club so long to release a statement....well this is why because it would be torn apart by people who are looking for ghosts that arent there.
 
The way humphreys always speaks in riddles, sidesteps the point and is NEVER direct will always lead to these sort of storys.

Im sure Ayoub ran this past Robbie first, him being club (C) and everything….that tells me all I need to know

Cuts both ways Ink. What you are saying there is based on what Ryan is saying. On BSB this morning Humphreys said that WT made an offer to Ryan 10 weeks ago and it has been on the table for him since then and the same offer was available to him this week when Ryan sourced a _**better**_ deal from Cronulla and WT wanted him to stay and accept the deal that they had offered him but at the end of the day Ryan accepted a better deal from Cronulla. Humphreys went on to say that Ryan had said that he wanted to feel wanted and Humphreys said that in the last week before he left he had a meeting with Ryan and he made it VERY clear that WT wanted him.

Too me it is starting to look to me that Ryan is playing the media personality thing for all its worth. He is gutted, but has left on a principle for his mate….all of this is camoflaging the simple fact that he has left the club at HIS choice for a more lucrative deal.Now that I am seeing this it makes me rethink the vigour with which he used to kiss the Tiger, rub his head etc...it all seems like a performance to the public.
 
So now its Ryan, before it was Gibbs, before that Moltzen….and now it appears farah too....Humphries has form in this area, how many do we NOT know about?

Humphrey farted around, he lost his player....it goes back way longer than 10 weeks

Ryan never dissed the club, Humpty dont mind inferring Beaus a liar though

I guess both Benji & beau are brilliant actors and brilliant liars according to you.

Alright….I'm out. They wanted him....its going in a bad reaction, he has acted to fix things. For mine thats what I want the CEO of my favourite club to do.

I'm happy with that at this stage, we'll see what sort of decisions they make from here.

To be fair, nowhere does the release say the discussions were with Farah or his manager. Fair enough it can be interpreted that way but at a literal level Humphreys doesn't make that claim.

I stand by my post. I agree most people would interpret that to mean negotiations with Farah and/or his management but as I said, to be fair, SH didn't say that. You can call it riddles but that's the way it is. I'm sure if the DT had have bothered calling Humphreys (and why didn't they?) they would have got the same message.

Of course this all supposes Ayoub is being entirely truthful.

You are a sensationalist. It says the club has held discussions . That's it. Not discussions with Robbie . That could be internal club discussions. You are either trying to whip up something out of nothing ( as usual ) or are not
