Reports of fresh talks news to Farah

I'm quite surprised by this telecrap article but in other ways i'm not surprised. Fact is the club never said they were in talks with Robbie. Simply that the club was in discussions about Robbie's contract. No mention at all of discussions with Farah, so Ayoub's reaction is a little devious at best.

Here's what I think happened…..

- Massoud reads the letter and assumes that the club are in discussions with robbie about extending his deal

- Massoud calls Ayoub to see how the discussions are going and Ayoub denies there's discussions.

- Massoud jumps the gun and goes for the jugular.

Watch out for those flying eggs Josh

All this proves is Humphrey's is a master of spin and making something sound good when it really means nothing when it comes to the crunch

Every time Humpty talks he needs to be hooked up to a lie detector

Robbie is happy now beeeeeeeep

Tim wants to stay beeeeeep

Benji can't wait to see who the next coach is beeeeeeep

Moltzen is a key figure to the club and will play 7 for NSW in 2013 Kaboom ,machine launches itself into orbit

Farah's agent Sam Ayoub last night confirmed Tigers boss Steve Humphreys had been in touch to plan negotiations.
>
"While there has been no formal negotiations as yet, Steve Humphreys phoned me yesterday to express interest in keeping Robbie long term," Ayoub said. "We're keen to sit down and start that once it becomes clear what the salary cap will be (in 2014)."

Shamed into action?

''We have begun discussion''- Beeeeeep
''OK OK OK - siggghh - we will begin in a few days'' - DING!

Maybe we should call him pinnochio

That should sound a very clear warning to all…..Parish has Alan Jones in his corner, just what we need at the club

Man, when will this club let go of the apron string and make its own bloody way in the world??

I wish Alan Jones would stick to radio and leave us alone. Balmain never recovered after Jones' tenure and I dont want any part of him here at the Wests Tigers.

Why don't people go back to when Humpty was on the game plan when he stated that Sheens would be at the club in 2013? And to think some laughed at the Noyce snippet about Smith

Most likely, at least there are now discussions with Robbie

Wow isn't this thread an awesome waste of time! So we may or may not have possibly potentially called Robbie Farah about a contract for the year AFTER next.

CEO's spin, papers make stuff up… not news to me.

Yep bingo! Instead of doing the proper work and making multiple calls to all concerned, as usual the DT get part of a story and run with it rather than waiting to get the whole story.

Stephen Humphreys was under the impression talks had started with Farah, it doesn't mean he himself was the one doing the talking.

They do have a Recruitment Manager.
YES we will start talks soon I will get back to you…Never happend
YES Beau you will have the contract soon I will get back to you...Never happend
YES Mr Doust the Moltzen release is coming I will get back to you soon.... never happend

Think the CEO needs a new title..take your pick.. Gunna Humpty or Slippery Humpty..or some may just choose to refer to the title of the slogan behind Alan Jones posted in another thread

He said "nothing formal" but "the club has let me know they want to talk about extending my contract".
