Teddy would kill it at centre, no doubt about it. But he would touch the ball probably 20% of what he does now and that's a very bad thing. I see where your going, trying to fit the best players in, but I think Tedesco has to stay at fullback.

Making Teddy play one side is absolute madness :crazy

If you where going to move people around move Teddy to 6 , but how he would cope with the extra defence would be the x factor

Its hard switching from fullback to five eight , you look at the game differently and don't see things opening up as easily as you can from the back , plus it gives you extra time to decide on the best course of action for the next play
 
I think Tim Sheens has re-entered the house reading the last few posts…Tedesco is a fullback up there with the best in the game...you don't move him...weaken a strength to strengthen a weekness no thanks....One thing Taylor did do right was replacing like for like in the starting sides the next week if injury warranted it...

Rankin has played Wing and centre..both backline positions we have up for grabs...Kev should have never cut his hair...
 
I wouldn't be moving Teddy to make room for anyone. Rankin looks good though from what he's achieved in the ESL. Why not give him a shot on the left with Timmy.

Sorry Watto but I would be moving Woods to centre before i would move Teddy there
 
Like any player that is not afraid to take the line on. Its why I had no time for players like Moltzen, they had talent but were soft runners. For all Moses excitement does he possess any running threat as yet? Not saying Rankin is a better player by any means however he has the confidence and size like Austin to pose a danger out of no where. Moses would be scared of getting destroyed when running with his frame. I don't know where he will fit it, but its not the worst call someone made to say he could be like Austin was for us in 2014.
 
IMO Rankin should be training at centre now. And be one of our starting centres in the 9s and trail games.
If he is a genuine first grader, barring injury Centre/wings is where he is most likely to win a starting spot..so get him Familiar with the backline now. If Kev or The big Manly boy are better so be it.
 
Yeah - Teddy is one of the best Fullbacks in the comp… But also the Best Centre (By a mile) at Wests Tigers!!

Tedesco played a world cup at centre (mostly) - And killed it, In a fairly ordinary team.
2 Years ago... Whilst still a little injured, And after only 1 season of NRL.

Teddy is a superstar, But centre is a very important position these days.

Having the best fullback in the comp, Won't mean anything unless we sort out our centre/2nd row combos sorted - and soon....
 
I think his experience, albeit only really a couple of seasons of ESL, will put him up the pecking order and give him a better shot at first grade.
 
I reckon he is a special for centre.

Surely they havent brought him over to play reserves.

We really are short a centre and he can run and ball play.

Could be a really good signing!
 
I would train him at centre. Defence will be his biggest test though.

Agree Re Defence. Kev did a pretty good job of it. I don't remember Kev getting run over the top of or getting burnt for speed. He didn't heavily dominate but he didn't do arm grabs either. From memory.
Kev probably has the inside running, with his defence. However when Kev first showed up for us I thought he would only grab a wing spot in 1st. He was a bit of a surprise at centre (Nothing special, but solid) .
It's worth trilling Rankin at centre as well.

Don't ruin one position to fix another.

Teddy is our fullback and will be for the next ten years barring any loss of form/injury/leaves the club.

It's not ruining the position if you find an adequate replacement is it?

- Furthermore, Centre is our weakest position - Has been since 2011, And in case you haven't noticed - The centre is usually between the play and the Fullback.

If we don't fix our centre position, You could have 4 Teddys at the back… Won't change much!!
 
Looks from these highlights he does the 1%ers very well and he has good hands…imo he could be our Jamie Lyon running in the centres.

Speed, strength, youth and enthusiasm.

Would be a deadly backline if our halves and forwards could get it together
