I also think Bulldogs do need Reynolds as an experienced player to lead and contribute. Too many inexperienced players there. Foran has not been able to do that role.

Thought Reynolds was on about $700,000 to $750,000, wonder how much he is actually on?.

They said 950 last night ...and we give crap to the Saints for Hunt for 1.1

Per games played Renolds would be cheaper than foran.

If we have to pay anymore than half the coin it’s no deal. Dogs biggest problem is there spine, especially 6 and 7, so Grub would be a walk up start for the 6 role and no 6 don’t comes cheap. Also remember they have two slots to fill in their roster after sacking two players. I get the feeling this just might have legs

I would be bamboozled if we had to fork out 700k a year for him to play at the Dogs. The Dogs would have to at least be paying 300k, which makes him a million dollar player. The same money Taulmalolo is on. There’s no way I can believe that would be happening. I could see us paying 400-450. 700, there’s no way.

Not a chance ...unless the Dogs are prepared to wear 550 k of his contract ...but he isn't anywhere near that value

With what ever money we free up by allowing JRey to return to his spiritual Home at the Dogs we could find a good young apprentice for Benji in 2020 / 21.

Yep - I am advocating for Benji to be involved in some way in 2021

Only if he was not on the field in any capacity. He is past his use by date

i hate to agree but i do

but in that being said, Benji retires at the end of this season, but he absolutely must stay apart of the club especially the training staff

The person who becomes his replacement (probably someone young) would benefit heaps from him

what would be reasonable for us to pay reynolds $400 k and dogs can pay the rest that would free up 400 or 450k
Maybe Walters to five eighth next year or douehie and we recruit a fullback

I’m not sure if doueihi is the best option at FB just don’t think he has the legs...I think he either plays centre or half next year..if he plays centre I’d have Mbye at 6...but we definitely need a top ball playing fullback with pace

I want him to stay. Dunno why, just do.

If he consistently gets out on the paddock so do I. That's a bloody big "if" though judging by the rotten luck he has had with injuries since he joined us.

How much would Bulldogs be prepared to pay. $400k and we would still be $100k's down on our investment taking into account the small number of first grade games he has played for Wests tigers. I wish some club would be willing to take a certain costly front rower off our hands.

if we need to pay $700 i say we keep him even as back up if marshall gets injured

$700
If that's all we pay let him go
Hell I would even pay $70,000.00
🤪

Does it really matter what bulldogs pay? If they take even a third of his contract it’s a win for us. It’s a lot better than paying $700,000+ for him to be in reserve grade. Better to free up $250,000 and a spot in the roster than to have him here doing nothing. Clearly he’s not in the plans for the future of the club

What makes you say that last sentence? He got a run in firsts pretty much as soon as he recovered from injury didn't he IIRC? Reckon he still has a role to play in our best 17 if he can stay healthy.
