We need to get back on topic.

Benji Marshall’s sympathy for Josh Reynolds after Bulldogs move ruled out
It is a feeling Benji Marshall can appreciate, when his career seemed to be faltering - and now Josh Reynolds must find his own way out of his “tough spot” at Wests Tigers.

So this deal was never done even though people in the media believed it was..what a surprise

They had agreementin principle yet got stuck on the dollar figure. Josh was gutted.

I respect this guy, great attitude.

Well the $ figure is in Josh's control, so he ultimately made the decision.

. . . . apparently Foran is getting a training injury assessed and might not play this round.
This Reynolds/Doggies thing might still have some legs if they get desperate.

Well, hope we are tougher next time around in the negotiations. Offering less, time has passed, he has been with us for more days, so we must have paid him slightly more.

Good to see we didn't get played for chumps though. Deal or no deal, all good, as long as we don't get played for chumps.

How can they have an agreement in principle. The entire agreement is based around money. If there's no agreement on money there's no agreement at all..!

The dogs were wanting him back and the tigers haf agreed to allow him to depart. Stage one of the deal.

As apposed to we want Ponga and newcastle says no way.

The rest was back and forth on the dollar figure.

Yeah, think it's time to let it go. He's just on too much $$.

This time next year we’ll be able to use his money on someone else for 2022. There is light at the end of the tunnel.

So this time next year, we still have 2 of the 3 on retirement plans left in JRey and Packer....McQueen leaves this year?

Yep. I forgot about Packer. Even better. We’ll have a war chest.

We have some smart people looking after recruitment these days ..

Sign all these young guys up and if we get a diamond or 2 out of them we will have the money to retain them in a few years when we lose JR, Packer, McQueen etc..

Yes and no Jonesy

You still need some hard heads who have been around the game to lead the youngers blokes around the field and potential pitfalls

Potential is still just that ...potential
