Anyone see that Reynolds (from souths) has no chance of playing origin and Pearce is guaranteed the spot?

It's stuff like this that makes me not mind qld win so many in a row. One day ppl will look back at our selection policy the last ten years (incumbents/boys club and not form) and wonder how these people held their jobs.

If I had a house, I'd be putting it on qld this series.

I am sure that that Reynolds would be pissed off with that comment from Daley, but I just hope that he is patient and can keep on performing for another year.

People always say that Qld stick with there players, but generally they are consistent and there might not be other options.

why does everyone want to pick him so early in his car rear. I agree he will play origin but just not this year. In the all stars game did he really do anything great no he didnt. I also agree with Joey Johns the reason his kicking game is perfection is that he has so much time behind his big forwards just rolling forward and the defence is on the retreat. But origin that is one different story QLD will be up in his face before he knows it,he will have so much less time that his kicking game will be off and everyone will be like why is he in origin. I mean he doesn't do anything special other then kick he barely runs to the line. I think one more year of first class under his belt will be good for him to include more options into his game. I feel we are making another jarrod mullen out of him i mean he has only played one season.

My hope is that Daley has said it to take the heat off him.
There would be nothing worse than playing the next month or so as the 7 elect. By the time he got to SOO1 he would be emotionally over it. Spring that selection surprise on him and let him enjoy the ride.

Boyd is nowhere near the player he was at the Dragons, I reckon he'd be lucky to get a game this year.
Thurston is struggling a bit too…if NSW pick the best possible team on form and not reputation (ie: Matt Cooper getting a game year after year when he was cod-ordinary) they will give QLD a big shake this series with 2 games in Sydney.

mate how old were the daleys, filters, meningas when they debuted in origin? very young.

this idea of making them 'earn their stripes' is the exact reason we keep losing.
