Right side defence

I thought Moses was very poor, constantly rushing out of the line. I just don't get it. Hold the line and slide, you're much more likely to stop the play when you have a forward on your inside that can help with the tackle. Rushing out of the line just creates massive holes that any reserve grade team can exploit.

Kev was average but any suggestion he should be moved to the wing is ridiculous. It's either he stays centre and fixes his defensive issues, or he's not in the team.

Surely Taylor is giving it to them at training…

The last time we played the dogs Kev was dropped for letting 4 tries down his side. Playing the bulldogs again and how much has kev improved in his defensive reads? 0%. Im sooo nervous for this weekend, the big boopers and decoys running all day against our right hand side.

18 months of zero improvements suggests Kev either plays as a winger or plays at another club.

You obviously haven't seen him on the wing. He has been much better at centre.

You seem to have misread my tone.

I'm advocating for Kev to leave. He is not NRL standard. How many clubs would he get a starting centre spot for?

I dont think he can always hold and slide - 1 on 1 with a big backrower… if he is sliding, they will carry him across. I am not against Moses getting up fast, the problem is he goes up and in, and the opp playmakers know it, so they just wait for him to come charging in and across.

Furthermore he often misses after he charges in, which is unforgivable. Lastly the others don't come up with him.

I don't think Kev always makes good decisions, but he typically drills the player he targets. It's hard to defend inside/outside blokes like Broses and Benji because you can't just concentrate 100% on your man.

And lastly Nofo stuffs it because he never comes in when Kev does. One in, all in... it does no good to backpedal and either let the centre in, or me drawn in to put the winger over.

I think you have this wrong. I think he has been great for us. You can't have a team full of superstars and he has been doing a really good job.

Well you're wrong. Kev has been the weakest part of our backline all season. Closely followed by Nofo.

Nofo drops more bombs than he takes. He's made almost twice as many errors as anyone else on our team. But he can finish a try from 10 metres out more often than not, and makes good metres.

Kevvy is solid in attack and has some x factor about him. I wish Simona could take a leaf out of Kevvy's pocket. Kev beats his man in attack at least once a game. Simona hasn't beaten his man once all season. However Kev simply can't position himself in defence. He has no idea. Front on he can do alright and take anyone down, but if he's misread the play as he so often does, then he leave the whole side in no-mans land.

Aloiai/Lovett - Moses - Naiqama - Nofoaluma would be the worst defensive combination of any team in the NRL. Even the Knights. Probably the worst combo which played last season too. For all they do in attack we won't win more than we lose with them in the side.
