Ring & Email FoxSports & NINE to telecast the Foundation Cup

Hi All,

I have tried for the last 2 years at the SFS to convince the FOX Sports people at the match, to telecast the Foundation Cup….they have said both times, maybe next year. Well, for me , it doesn't matter so much as I have tickets for this year game again, both if lived in Broken Hill or far away, I would be really upset theat they are not showing it live or on replay at least.

So I just spoke to a nice chap, Ian ,in programming at Fox Sports regarding whether thay are going to telecast the Foundation Cup this year, as they have missed great opportunities the last couple of years by not showing it.

He said that its not in their contract to show it, and unless the clubs dip some money into helping to telecasting it , he doesn't think it will happen.

I then rang Channel NINE, and asked for the Sports Dept, and got messagebank and left my details , so hopefully they we call back and I can tell them they are missing out on a ratings winner, as it will be the first live NRL trial game shown...ie the Charity Shield is being played on the following week .

People, vote with with your fingers and email these Boardcasters and let them know that Wests Tigers fans are bigger in heart than Saints & Souths fans...

Don't winge later, if you do nothing, when the Wests Tigers put on 4 sensatational tries and you can't see the reply of the match , if you lucky enough to attend or just think about our Country fans who don't have a chance to attend

Great post have rang fox sports and nine to air my support this will be a call to get an extra game each year to make it even bigger than the charity shield cmon all you wests fans lets make it happen. :righton: :righton:

I dont think it will be televised until they start getting bigger crowds to this match to make something more special. Once we start having 20,000 plus at the game then maybe the TV channels will see value.

I dont know if the club would want to have it televised anyway, if the game is on TV many people may not go and then it would cost them ticket sales revenue.

Not sure if we will see it on tv anytime soon, but i applaud everyone for trying. I will give them a call next week.
