Dame Maggie Smith, star of Downton Abbey and the Harry Potter films, dies aged 89

Smith won an Oscar for The Prime of Miss Jean Brodie in 1970, and later won new fans as Professor McGonagall in the Harry Potter series and the Dowager Countess of Grantham in Downton Abbey.
