It's good to see another son of a Balmain player making good. Young Jadyn Walker did well last night for Italy and looks to have talent. His build is similar to has fathers and lets hope he makes a move over to the WTs.

Nothing to 'lighten up' about. My post was in response to Nelson's post, offering a possible reason as to why he hasn't seen the best of Vaughan and Brown during the World Cup. They're probably buggered.

However they are not in a pre season. They are playing a few games for their country in a world cup. No chance they wont be up for it due to fatigue.

I reckon a lot of players who are playing their 1st post season rep footy could be apt to struggle with it

You found after the old Kangaroo tours many of the 1st time tourists struggle during the following season to remain consistent

Also the fact they go from being a club player surrounded by many players as good or better than them to becoming one of the main focus players in an understrength side has an effect also

Just some stuff to weigh up I guess

Munk, you seem to be forgetting the 26 plus weeks of the 2017 NRL season they've just finished playing beforehand. Some would've have played SOO as well. You can't possibly expect them all to be playing at their peak all year round, especially the forwards. They're not Marvel Superheroes :laughing:

If you don't have players who can create something from what field position your forwards get you will struggle

Tonga need a quality 9 or 7 before they will match the 3 superpowers of League

Really because he has been a damaging runner and through a good pass to set up a try that was denied because of the previous pass ? Paying in the centres when he has played mostly wing lately - not sure what your seeing but ive been happy so far

I see a player struggling badly with lateral movement in defence. Perhaps he is carrying condition?

Lolohea is a bit of a worry. I sure hope he's a better fullback than five eighth because he ain't no playmaker that's for sure. The fact that Hopoate is preferred as fullback over him doesn't fill me with much confidence tho.
