Hi everyone.

I've started work on RoarFEED 2014 with the hope of having it released mid Feb.
If anyone has any feature requests or suggestions then please post them here.

I'll jump in early with answers to some common questions:

**Will there be an android version?**
No. I can't code in Android. If anyone knows anyone who is an Android coder who would be willing to take on the challange then please put them in contact with me.
 
Hi Kul,

Functionality is is great from the 2013 version but just looking for

1\. Not reloading the app when a IOS notification pops up
2\. Showing New Posts and not "Hot Topics"
3\. Getting rid of "Anonymous" Posting from the app
4\. Team Sheets
5\. WTF Tipping Comp returning to App?

Hey Kul,I would love to know if i can get RoarFEED 2014 on Android because i typed RoarFEED2013 into Google play and nothing showed up, So i typed in Wests Tigers forum and still nothing showed up. I have htc one x.

**1\. Not reloading the app when a IOS notification pops up** - This kind of functionality will be a key focus when building RoarFEED 2014
**2\. Showing New Posts and not "Hot Topics"** - I will do both
**3\. Getting rid of "Anonymous" Posting from the app** - This a huge bug that i've been working on
**4\. Team Sheets** - most probably not. The issue here is that it requires someone uploading the team and I'm honestly too busy on Tuesdays to get around to it.
**5\. WTF Tipping Comp returning to App?** - no. Again, it's a part time job simply managing such a system.

My roar feed app has crashed and won't open! What do I do? Help ,it did it on my old phone and now my new phone. I would appreciate any help or advice any one could give to fix it . Thanks heaps.
 
Hey Kul,

Not promising anything, but I maybe able to create an Andriod version.

Latest version of Delphi XE5 allows you to create Andriod and IOS apps but written using Delphi. Creates native apps.

I have not created an Andriod app using it yet but nothing like a real project to test new skills :slight_smile:

Happy for you to have ownership of any code that is created and the completed app.
 
Intersting. Do you recon that you could handle building something that pulls forum data via REST calls and returns JSON? That's essentially all that RoarFEED does.

Yeah that is very do-able. Have a sample project written at the moment which pulls JSON via rest running on an IOS device.

If you want to send through the web address I will see if I can hit it and pull down the data.

Hey Kul,

Another request if possible.

When refreshing a thread in roarfeed is it possible for the refresh to refresh the page you are on rather than send you back to the 1st page?

For example I'm on page 4, hit refresh and it reloads me on page 1.

In the new version, if I'm on page 4 and hit refresh, can it stay on page 4 and just load any new messages that have come in since the refresh?

So it would stay on page 4, but see page 5 etc and any new messages.

Would help especially on the match day threads.

As noted above I am going to try and write an Android version of RoarFEED, please be patient as I will be working on this during my spare time, learning the development environment as I go.

For those that are running Android devices, what version are you using? Looking at the development environment there was a big change since version 3.0 (Honeycomb) and I would like to target devices running that or newer versions. This means that anyone still running Froyo or Gingerbread won't be able to run the app. I'm hoping that there aren't too many still out there.
