I have just submitted RoarFEED 3.0 to Apple for approval.
The current approval wait time is between three and five days.

The new app is more streamlined and has more enhancements to make it ultimately more user friendly.

I'm still working on POTY, tipping and a few more things. They will be activated in later releases.

Can't wait Kul. Thanks for always being on the lookout to improve the app and for keeping us in the loop with its progress.

One thing I was thinking about this morning for further developments of the forum in general, if it is possible within the limits of the forum software you use, is for a notification type system whenever another user quotes a post we've made. There are numerous occasions where I'll make a post in a thread then completely forget about it and never check back. Doesn't have to be an email notification, maybe something similar to Facebook or even the message inbox currently used on the forum.

There was discussion about this not so long ago. I believe in Board preferences there's an option you can select yes to be notified of replies to your post.

Well that's answered my question.

Been checking the app most days to see if its still blank. Kudos on the good work.

Apple just began the review process. hopefully they will be ready within a couple of hours

RoarFEED 3.0 is now ready to download.

I've already noted several bugs and have prepared Version 3.0.1 however I thought I'd let everyone have a go using it for a few days and note any other bugs before I submit the next update.

Enjoy

Hey. It's crashed when I've tried to go to my home page tab a couple of times. It's the only thing I've noticed but thank you very much all the work that goes into it.

Yeah looks good but I can't log in at all. Return does not work and keyboard does not go away after password is entered. iPad iOS 6.1

I can only login as a guest & I did go into the forum website to update my name & password

Firstly appreciate the effort and time that goes into developing this app.

Is it possible to have a option to revert the layout to the original version? I like being able to check recent posts and the simple system of un read threads being bold was fool proof ( me being the fool). Hot topics seems clunky IMO

we cant go back in time- evolution - but yes the original layout was simpler. It had a structure. In reality, the mods clearly wanted the best for us. But everybody's best is unique. It will grow on you. Give it time.

Anyway the app can be updated to not log out every time its used? Old version was always logged in..

Annoying having to log in every time where most apps don't need a manual log in every time

Love the new app. Great work Kul. Here's my feedback so far.

Positives:
- Love the new UI with the Facebook style menu on the left
- The number of posts per page in the threads now match the online version. Before it was different so made it hard to find posts between the two
- Inclusion of avatars, makes it easier to recognize other members
- As far as I can tell the quotes issue is fixed

Negatives:
- Having the same issues with the app staying logged in, but that happens to me on the website forum too
- The title of the thread is not displayed anywhere once you're reading it
- When in the list of threads, the username of the OP is displayed at the top, then the title in bold below. I prefer the layout in the web version with the title at the top and username below. It's easier to scroll through and quickly see the threads as that's the main thing I'm looking for.

Hope that helps. Love your work!

One more thing.

It appears that I can only see the first ten or so threads in the Wests Tigers section - no option for page 2 etc

Thanks for the posts guys.

As i mentioned in the first post, a lot of these bugs have since been fixed and I've submitted 3.0.1 to apple, plus a couple more features.

I'm adding chat support too, but that will be in 3.1

The priority was/is ti get a functioning version out for the trials and fix the minor issues shortly after

Hey Kul,

Just noticed an issue with the thread titles in the hot topics section. When I tap on a thread in the hot topics section, the title of the thread is always that of the first thread in the section, not the thread I tapped on… If that makes sense.

Okay, there's good news and bad news

Good news:
I successfully nabbed this login problem. Man it took a while a track it down, but I finally found it!

Bad news:
I've had to re-submit 3.0.1 to Apple, so it's going take another 5 days to be approved. Mid next week is probably when it will be released.

Sorry guys. Trust me though, 3.0.1 has some really good usability improvements included that will make it worth the wait.
