RoarFEED for Android now in PlayStore

Is it just my phone or is the app struggling since the update?

If it's anything like the iOS, every time there's an update something always goes wrong. I don't think anyone does any proper testing prior to update release.

After the last iOS update I kept getting thrown out. I don't know how long it took to fix because I just gave up going onto the forum for about 3 weeks. I was leading the soccer comp back then but have lost interest since. Damn sheep station lol

I do as much testing as I can do, which involves using the app on my phone.
It's hard to catch everything with a one-man-band though…

Hey Sabre,

What in particular is not working? Just slow or other issues?

I have been trying to pin down an issue where it crashes on startup, but then loads fine next time. Have just made some changes and will run it on my phone for a couple of days to see if it fixes it. If all looks good then will put in PlayStore.

Yeah that's the main issue, it'll crash then I reopen and it works. I've also had an issue where I'll get an error when trying to make a post. I can't remember what the error actually says. But if I copy/paste my post, get out of the app, then back in, it works.

you can click like but I noticed it doesn't actually go through

RoarFEED is no long available on the App Store (iPhone).

Since the website upgrade earlier this year, the responsive design on the site makes it better than RoarFEED for IOS.
It costs a few hundred bucks for me to publish RoarFEED on the App Store plus all the development time. The whole idea of RoarFEED was to have a user-friendly interfaces to the forum on the iPhone; the responsive design on the forum now achieves just that.

RoarFEED will still work for anyone who has downloaded it before it became unavailable.

I will just no long develop it any further - it's not worth it anymore and I don't have the time.

although, never say never. If the phpbb development team come out with a suitable native API then i'll look at RoarFEED 5.

I guess I will slowly ride into the sunset.

I very rarely get on the computer anymore. Guess I'm a new-age trendy with my iphone 6+ where I can sit in my lounge room or the shops and get forum news.

When it's gone, it's gone I suppose.

This should be fixed in the latest 1.2.4 release.
New threads should now create without an issue.
