Robbie cracked tibia

Looks like that is it for him.

I have criticised his personality, but never his toughness.

If that is to be it, a warrior's exit was appropriate. Playing on with a busted leg effectively.

wow... cannot believe at all that he could actually put weight on it. must have been hairline, surely. That may make it a 3-6 week healing period. i wouldn't play until the fracture has healed.

I'm surprised the club even bother informing us of his injury. Still zilch news on Packer, Matulino and Dylan Smith.

ET disappeared for 2 weeks without explanation as well.

I hate seeing any players career end in this way!

If it is the end of Faf's career what a sad way to end it

True warrior to the very end .....battling a serious injury as long as he could

One of our greatest ever players ....that can't be ever questioned

Perfectly said. I can't add anymore to it.

He was jogging around with a cracked tibia... Jeez Robbie

He also wasn't that far off scoring a try!

Terrible way for anyone to end their career. At least he achieved 300 first grade games to go with his premiership and rep honours.Sad that he couldnt retire as a 1 club player though.

Can't see him returning from this unfortunately.

I've been critical of his off field behaviour in the past but I cannot deny that he is probably the toughest player to pull on our jersey. He made his 300 and he gave it all until the body gave in. He won a premiership, played for his state and country and his ancestral home as well. I think he'll be happy finishing up on that note.

You can't ask for more than what one can give. He gave it all. Thanks Robbie.

Well said Bogan... My thoughts exactly..

I thought it was a deliberate wrestling / ju - jitsu move like the old cumbo throw... Lewis really locked faffs leg so it had nowhere to go... Dog act imo and worse than the spate of crushers and p/weak late shots we are seeing players binned for but will the nrl do anything about this?? Lol 😒

All the best Robbie- hope the leg heals well. Whatever happens with being able to get back on the field or not mate, your health comes first and dont take a chance on it.

Good luck and here's to one of the toughest.

Broken tibia not enough to stop Farah wanting to play on
By Sam Phillips

August 11, 2019 — 5.06pm

Robbie Farah has suffered a broken tibia but hasn't given up hope of playing one last game for his beloved Tigers.

Farah was injured on Saturday night when his right leg was trapped under a Lachlan Lewis tackle in the 13th minute of the shock loss to the Bulldogs at ANZ Stadium.

The Tigers moved to quell fears that Farah, who has announced he will call curtains on his decorated career at the end of this season, may not play again but Brad Fittler delivered news to the contrary in Nine's broadcast of Melbourne's win over Souths.

Fittler had spoken to Farah's brother, the Rabbitohs' physio Eddie Farah, who said the news was not good and that a club announcement was expected soon.

It is understood scans have revealed Farah has suffered a broken tibia. He will visit a specialist on Monday to further assess the damage but is understood to be eager to return before season's end.

The star hooker required immediate attention from Tigers medical staff but played on for another 10 minutes before being replaced.

There is better news regarding the severity of Moses Mbye's injury. The Tigers captain injured his hip flexor in the warm-up but decided to play anyway.

He only lasted seven minutes, however, and was in obvious pain as he left the field after setting up Paul Momirovski for the first try of the match.

While he will not play against the Sea Eagles either, scans on Sunday revealed an injury which will only keep him sidelined for a fortnight.

The return of Mbye will be critical to the Tigers' hopes of sneaking back into the top eight.

They foundered without the star pair in falling to the Bulldogs and now have no losses up their sleeve if they are to reclaim their place in the top half of the competition in the run home against Manly (A), Newcastle (H), St George Illawarra (A) and Cronulla (H).

"We need to get ready for Thursday night," Tigers coach Michael Maguire said. "We know the position that we're in and we need to perform to get the win on Thursday night. We need to move forward."

Manly have their own share of injury concerns. Daly Cherry-Evans, Curtis Sironen and Brad Parker all received medical attention during the loss to the Warriors at Mt Smart Stadium on Friday and there is mixed news on all three fronts.

The club's premiership hopes appeared to be in tatters when Cherry-Evans struggled to put weight on the ankle he was forced to work on around the clock prior to Queensland's win in the Origin opener. He did not leave the field, however, and it is understood he has been cleared of any injury since returning to Sydney.

While Cherry-Evans has been cleared to play, Sironen and Parker will not line up against the Tigers.

It is understood scans have revealed a hamstring strain for Sironen which will sideline him for one to two weeks.

Parker's bizarre knee injury, which was suffered while trying to take a tap, is understood to be cartilage damage.

He will also miss one to two weeks.

I'm certain the boys will be doing everything in their powers to win the next 3 games so Robbie can return in the final round against the Sharkies at Leichhardt and lead us to Finals Glory ...heart n soul..
