Robbie Farah Dally M Hooker of the Year

Benji & Farah cancelled each other out just like Prince & Hodgo in 2005.

A excellent showing though

Prince and Hodgson didn't really cost each other the award that year. From memory Joey and Thurston were about 10 clear of them. Considering Prince can only take 1 point of Hodgson per game (and vice versa), it's hard to believe one cost the other 10 points.

Plus, if you have a better side, you win more games, you can get more points. If you have a team of hacks, and you only win 8 games, you will not have many opporunities to poll points.

He got 0 points from the Broncos game.

Yeh….I didnt see it all but that seems right, we played only fair for only 3 minutes of that game

You might be right there Ink but in saying that, Farah had a hand in all of our tries and single handedly kept us in it by making a one on one tackle on Sims (Or Parker?) that held him up over the tryline.

Without him we would of lost and if you are gonna base the points on how well the players played, well Farah influenced the result of the game and so I think he should of at least got something from that.

In saying that, Im not sure whether was the Tigers best vs the Titans and was probably lucky to get 2 pts, I think he deserve maybe 1.

Nah man, Farah would have been close to the best on the field against the Titans. Prince would have got the three which is really arguable since he was off the field for so long.

Carney was the more influential player all season.

The thing I find most amusing is Farah and Carney being the experts "best two players this year" couldn't crack the NSW squad. Absurd.

Both had slow starts to the year. Origin Squads are usually formed by Round 8…

Who are the experts?

I don't see how both had slower starts to their years than the counterparts of their positions that were named ahead of them.

The "experts" are the Dally M voters. Apparent footy minds and ex players. Whether or not they are truly experts is irrelevant to my point. They are the experts given the job by the NRL hive mind.

L. Daley
A, Johns
G. Belcher
G. Alexander
D. Ritchie
B. Fitler….....

There was also some guest apperences from G. Tallis and Rothfield throught the year...

These are the judges appointed by NEWS LTD to judge the Dally M's...the NRL has bugger all to do with it...

Was David Gallop even there?

You are right whith your first part, but. How can you say he did not get 3 point from the titans game???? He set up the three tries we scored!!!!!????? That out of three tries!

Given the Dally M's are run with the Daily Telegraph & our history with that paper does anyone expect Robbie to ever be given the top award???

You are actually right there, I guess that kick ahead on the first tackle is what lingers in my mind and I think he knocked on from Dummy half as well from memory, but he did set up all our tries, just like he did in that Brisbane game.
